"Pros: Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen with quality cookware, appliances (2 ovens, smooth cooktop, large fridge, dishwasher), spices, storage containers, and more. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, clean hot tub, grill, filtered water, reliable Wi-Fi (handled 7 devices), and responsive owners. The secluded setting offers stunning mountain views from the decks, hot tub, and picture windows, plus excellent stargazing, hiking, and nearby fishing. Dog friendly (fee applies), child friendly (highchair, books, toys, child locks), and thoughtfully stocked with extra blankets, pillows, towels (including hot tub towels), tissues, soap, paper products, bug spray, bear spray, binoculars, and a small bedroom fan. The cabin was spotless with no bugs or spiders. Wildlife sightings included deer and chipmunks. Three bathrooms & plenty of hot water for our group. The family history markings by the upstairs door added a charming personal touch.Cons: Access can be challenging, especially for low-clearance vehicles or in bad weather, so use the owners' directions instead of GPS on your first trip. Occasional nighttime noises (pipes?), a propane-like smell some mornings in the upstairs bedroom, one queen bed that felt slanted (room near bike & weights), only one ice tray, and soft water that leaves residue on dishes/skin. We couldn’t get the sauna to work. A fire ban prevented use of the fire pit, though that's beyond the owners' control."
