"Location amazing. We had a sea view which was stunning but the rear harbour views are gorgeous too. Hosts were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Parking permit was very helpful , though finding a space in this lovely corner of Weymouth took patience. Everywhere was very clean. Breakfast was tastly and again dining room with the stunning view. Our room had everything we could need and more, fridge very useful for chilling water, milk and wine!! (Wine glasses provided!!)Comfy chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Hubby loved the huge king size bed , a tad soft for me, but certainly plenty of room. Take an eye mask as you have a 50/50 chance of facing the sea and the light outside is very bright. We always travel with them so was good. Would most definitely stay again"

"Booked for a weekend family visits, we didn't use any of the spa or entertainment or restaurant options so cannot comment on those. Our room was clean and tidy, staff welcomed us on arrival and wished us well on checkout. The car park is super busy but that is an issue anywhere so close to the seafront. The only issue we had was some very noisy upstairs neighbours who woke us several times - even during the hotels requested quiet times. Obviously, visitor behaviour is somewhat outside of the hotels control and being such an old and historic building some creaks and squeaks are to be expected, just a shame it somewhat ruined a nice stay."

"I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing) The food is top notch and very affordable. The cooked breakfast (Included) is amazing and you can select as little or as much as you want. Lovely coffee as well. Cereal and toast is also available and I enjoyed the relaxed serve yourself arrangement. Helga, was on hand to make sure you had everything you needed and was very friendly and approachable. You can take a walk to the highest point in Portland (490 feet above sea level) to take in breathtaking views and sunsets. (A bus is also available as it's quite a walk!) My room was clean and tidy and all I need in a stay. A comfortable bed and shower. TV reception was very poor, giving only a handful of channels, but this didn't really affect me as I don't go to places to sit in hotel rooms watching TV. The Aqua is a great place to relax and enjoy great food and drink. I liked the informal, laid-back atmosphere as this added to the relaxation. This, plus the attentive, friendly staff, made my stay very enjoyable. I would certainly stay at The Aqua again. "
