Room was fine, staff was friendly, restaurant downstairs…pub style was awful…fish and chips were gross and greasy….I paid cash and server did not bring me change ..had to ask for it…and he indicated he had no change…it was a big todo to get me my change…he was expecting it to be all tip…rather awkward to have to ask for your change …pool was loud and noisy as there is construction going and no where was this mentioned when booking ..

Clean, and comfortable but poor shower. After both struggling with no hot water, and countless phone calls, we found out that this shower worked back wards. Fix it...or leave a sign informing customers 😒

Although the property was clean, the staff helpful and the availability of a shuttle to go downtown we did not have a good experience at the Algonquin. There were 5 couples staying for 3 nights. Our dining experiences during this time was less than ideal. We ate 1 night in the Pub-- slow service, very slow to get our checks(30 minutes) and terrible entertainment. Another night we ate at Braxton's-- 6:30 reservation was not done until 10:00. Waited 2 hours for our food to come-- 1 hour between salads and entrees. Ran out of bread, limes and many wines. When we asked to speak to the manager he was confrontational and unsatisfactorly made some amends. Would not recommend the restaurants. A broken luggage rack and refigerator were not replaced.
