We really enjoyed how beautiful the property is and the many water activities offered. Food was good! Definitely a tropical vacation, even if I already live in Hawaii.

We loved the tram and boat service that takes us through-out the property. We love that if you want to walk the property that there is plenty of shaded paths. What was disconcerting was the resort fee of $45 + $30 self parking. This adds an additional $75/day which is too high for the level of this property. If it were a 5 star hotel, it would make more sense.

The place is beautiful. The food is expensive but good. Waiting on the tram can be slow but walking is better because you can see more of the decor and attractions you couldnt see riding the tram. Parking is expensive and far but they offer valet if you dont/cant walk that far.

The overall property was nice in appearance and the locations was central. 1) We rented a cabana at the lagoon and were told we would be brought ice for the cabana amenity cooler in 20 minutes after and hour and a half we walked back up to the reservation kiosk and were told that our attendant completely forgot about us and would bring the ice right over. 2) Conservations initiatives, the Hilton has cards in each room with talking points on water conservation. However I noted over the course of a few days grass being watered during the day and landscape lighting on 24/7 the complete opposite of conservation. 3) Construction noise, the Hilton was doing construction and did not inform the guests. I was shocked they allowed construction to occur on a Saturday over the Easter weekend. The jack hammering and large trucks took away from any Hawaiian vibes or use of the balcony during work hours due to the noise. 4) All of the staff we encountered during our stay were rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. 5) Food options, the food options are very limited especially if you maintain a Vegan or Vegetarian diet. I tried to customize two items at the Kona Tap Room one item removing cheese and was told that the flatbread was out of stock and the other removing the meat from a Bao sandwich which the cook refused to accommodate. This night I ended up eating French fries for dinner. Needless to say this was the last meal I ate at the hotel during my stay so frustrating.

Beautiful, Disney like resort. Mix of 50% families with children, and the rest are Retirees/Young couples, some I would expect on their honeymoon. I was there for Spring break 20019. Didn’t see any college breakers at all. Food is VERY expensive. Consider an inclusive deal. Daily parking fee and resort fee add up quick. The “Big Island Breakfast” buffet was great, but so was the price…$84 without tip, for 2 persons. Hands down the most expensive breakfast I have ever eaten. Expect similar prices at one of the other many on site Bar/Grill restaurants. Didn’t eat at the other higher end evening restaurants. You could spend your entire time relaxing at the resort, but the Big Island has plenty to see. There is a beach but it is in a lagoon, good for swimming/activities/ small children. The ocean beach is Lava rock with 4 ft surf/waves coming in; beautiful but not really for swimming.

I have to say this hotel is really beautiful and the rooms are clean and the beds comfy. But please know there is no beach to swim at and everything is crazy expensive. We rented a car and drove around finding beaches and doing excursions so we didn't spend too much time at the resort because the pools were so cold you couldn't get in and there wasnt any beach access. I could see how this resort is better for conferences or kids and not so much a romantic vacation. I promise you will only forget something in your room once because it'll be a 25 min plus delay in getting back to your room waiting for an elevator and getting back to the main lobby. Our housekeeper was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the concierges were super helpful shout out to claudia for helping with a last minute booking after another one canceled she got us in somewhere immediately!

The hotel was very large and beautiful. However, the parking was inconvenient -- especially if you were carrying your own luggage from the car -- you had to go up stairs to get to the lobby! Also, the $30/day parking was expensive especially after paying hotel fees! Ridiculous!

The property and staff were excellent. The place is very beautiful and maintained very well. Not enough to do onsite. More could be added here. There is no night life at the resort at all. Seems like the entire place goes to sleep as soon as the sun goes down. The resort area is surrounded by nothing but lava rock for several miles. You have to go to the nearest town (Kona) the really do anything.
