Good stay
We really didn’t know what to expect after reading previous reviews; however, it turned out to be the best for us. The communication could be better as it was almost at the last minute before we got a response to questions. But they did respond and all worked out. As for the VRBO, yes, it could use some very simple updating. It was clean and the building was quiet. It had everything we needed and while people said to stay away from that area, it worked out great. We were about 30 minutes from the Honolulu area, which meant you didn't have to fight for parking or anything else. The people in Oahu were so courteous, especially when it came to driving. Parking at the VRBO is provided for free in a private, gated area and it felt very safe. Looking down from the balcony was a clean, quiet, and secluded beach with wonderful views. We watched two sea turtles swimming back and forth at different times of the day. We really didn't have any complaints about the VRBO. Now on the downside, Oahu has become infested with homeless camps for blocks on the beaches. It does absolutely nothing for the island in regards to the tourists that have a long ago vision of what they might expect. I've been told the other islands are not like that, so it may be a consideration. We ran into homeless camps in numerous areas of Oahu. All in all, I would have given the VRBO a higher rating if the place was updated a bit, and you didn't have to look at the homeless camps from your balcony.
