A lovely hotel and surrounding buildings. Lovely food and dining, brilliant staff and wonderful outside walks. My only gripe is that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and that breakfast service didn’t start until 8 which was too late.

I was disappointed. As a former resident of Kongsvinger I happen to know that this used to be the very best Hotel in the town. It can now only be described as 'tired'. Breakfast on day 1 was interesting as the yoghurt placed on the buffet had gone off. Not the very best advertisement for Kongsvinger."
