The apartment is on 2 floors: On the ground floor you have living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and toilet. Upstairs 2 bedrooms and bathroom. One bedroom with Queen bed and one with King bed and a private terrace. You have direct access to the garden, the swimming pool, on the roof a terrace with 2nd swimming pool, relaxation area and BBQ.
Your 4-legged companion is welcome (10 Kilo and less) On a leash when you are on the complex and to make sure you take him outside the complex for all these needs.

Casa Mtl Tulum is ideal for people who love adventure and want to immerse themselves in local Mexican life. Our condos are 5 minutes from restaurants, 15 minutes from Tulum Center and 20 minutes from the beach. We have 2 apartments with one bedroom and 3 apartments with 2 bedrooms.

Beautiful oasis for a Perfect getaway

Very comfortable 2 bedroom suite for two adults. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well set up for cooking meals, enjoyable patio with view of the pool. We enjoyed the rooftop patio and dipping pool for more breeze and shade. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Area feels safe. The hosts are very accommodating with helpful tips to enjoy Tulum.. Thankyou Josh and Mario for Your spectacular hospitality!

Property had a secluded feel with all the palm’s and trees. The pool came in handy after a long day in the sun. We also rented some scooters from Mario which allowed us to get around and site see. I would recommend to anyone going to Tulum Mexico…….

Beautiful tropical house set

Tropical plants with unique modern Spanish style buildings comforts guests. I love the spacious shower room with skylight that made me like to take a shower. I want to design my shower room of my next house like that. Owners or hosts Josh and Mario are very nice, very knowledgeable or resourceful so that we saved some time and didn’t miss something that will make us regret in future. We cooked a lot in the nice kitchen. Only one thing that needs to improve is better to do some fumigation frequently in order to give the guests better experience because Mexico climate allows various insects and ants grow around. If someone ask me to recommend some places to stay, I definitely recommend this place to them. Thanks!

Wonderful place to stay!!!

Josh and Mario are wonderful hosts. They live right there on the property and were always available for advice on restaurants, shopping and tourist ideas. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The rental is in a great location, far enough away from the beach for easy driving and parking. Lots of great restaurants and stores. There is a nice pool to swim in and cool off but there was also a rooftop lounging area with a small dipping pool, bathroom, fireplace/grill, and table and chairs and tanning chairs all with a nice breeze. We spent much of our time on the rooftop area. The apartment was was well stocked with cooking supplies, excellent wi-fi, and a flat screen TV. Lots of good places to eat, drink or buy supplies all within walking distance. We stayed a week and enjoyed every minute. Josh and Mario maintain a beautiful garden and the rooms were very clean and modern. Next time I go to Tulum, I know where we will be staying again.

My kids and I had the pleasure of staying here for a month The guys are so great, friendly and fun. Great place!

Had a wonderful time at Casa Mtl and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, comfortable place to stay. We even were able to rent a scooter from Mario at a cheaper price than the actual rental places. The scooter was a good one too. The place was very secure and safe and the location was perfect. There are some great coffee and other spots to walk to about a block or two away and it was also great to easily be able to get to the beach from the back main road. Overall a great experience!

Cozy and Quaint

The property was honestly more than what we expected after looking into the area. The host was super sweet and accommodating. He helped explain the rules in a kind and patient way. The property itself could have stand to be a smidgen cleaner. We happened upon a lot of spider webs in the condo, not a deal breaker, but wasn’t too comforting. There also wasn’t any additional toilet paper or paper towels, which normally come with most rentals. However, the rooms were SUPER spacious with an adorable balcony. The bathroom was clean and well kept. It was easy to cook and to washed everything that we needed. The only recommendations would be to properly wipe down all cabinets and nooks (in order to avoid unwanted spiders ans such) and perhaps to trim up the greenery in the common pool area. There were a lot of mosquitos due to the greenery and that was tough to handle sometimes. Other than that, a great stay and it did the job for us!

Casa MTL - SUPER Bueno!

This is a wonderful property in a great location - close to all the action but just far enough away to escape and completely relax. Beautiful courtyard and pool area. The apartment is lovely - we stayed for 2 weeks and it felt like home. Easy bike ride to center of Tulum and the bikes provided on site! Josh and Mario are friendly, helpful and gave great ideas about places nearby to eat and explore. Absolutely loved Tulum, the language school we attended (Meztli) and Casa Mtl. We will be back!!

Josh and Mario were fantastic! They were available to offer tips and recommendations without seeming "in the way." Excellent food recommendations and I especially appreciated him letting us know which streets weren't lit after dark before we went bike riding. They were also considerate about my travel partner's fair skin and brought 2 types of sunscreen for her to use! They are very thoughtful and I look forward to staying with them again in the future!

Great little oasis with great hosts!

The property was great and clean. Attention to detail was given with everything you need. Pool area was very relaxing and great way to spend evening after beach. Josh and Mario were excellent hosts. Josh even made me a “limeade” drink to help with my “stomach issues.” It was wonderful and would stay again.

We had a wonderful experience at Josh and Mario's. We were greeted when we got in and Josh gave us an introduction to the property and the area. He provided us with a map and showed us several places we could visit and great places to eat. The unit was very clean, well-appointed, and quiet. Has a nice pool and a hammock on the balcony. Air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the place cool. Really loved the rainfall shower head in the bathroom. The property is conveniently located about a 2 minute drive/5 minute bike ride or 10 minute walk from main strip. There is also a lavanderia about 3 minutes away where we had our laundry done for about $3. We had a great time and hope to return sooner than later.

Mon fiancé et moi avons loué casa Mtl-Tulum du 23 mars 2018 au 28 mars 2018 et c'était formidable! Un vrai petit coin de paradis! Les hôtes étaient formidable, super acceuillants et nous ont suggérés de bons restaurants et des endroits pour des activités! Nous n'avons manqué de rien, l'eau était fourni, l'appartement super propre et confortable! Nous avons adorés notre séjour a cet appartement! Nous avions un autre place de réservé a Cancun et nous étions vraiment triste de partir.. Nous allons retourner a cet endroit sans hésiter pour notre prochaine visite a Tulum! Beautiful, well-appointed home with amazing hosts!

First, a BIG THANK YOU to Mario and Josh--you are natural-born hosts and you made our stay in Tulum fun, easy, and a fantastic memory. This is a practically new, very clean and thoughtfully-appointed home. The two spacious bedrooms have very good AC and the downstairs kitchen, dining room and living space are all open, with large sliding windows on either side and a good fan in the center to keep the room airy and cool. There are lots of nice touches, like a thick exotic wood dividing counter and the large, open rain shower. The garden is incredibly well loved and cared for and the saline pool has a large, shallow platform for hanging out on and pretty lights in the evening. The pictures here are accurate but don't do this home justice. The thing that sets it apart, though, is the hosts. We arrived late because of a delayed flight and we stopped on the way to get groceries in Playa Del Carmen (fyi, completely unnecessary for all you hyper planners, like me. Tulum has a great grocery store with prices similar to Playa Del Carmen and the house had staples like coffee, olive oil, spices, etc. on hand). Because we arrived a couple of hours later than expected, Josh called to make sure everything was okay, then talked us in from the highway to their street, where he was waiting on the corner with a flashlight to make sure we didn't miss it. Before we arrived they asked us to provide a numerical code that would be easy for us to remember for the front gate. The gate was pre-coded when we arrived--as were our bike locks and the safe. Josh and Mario have that wonderful sense of when to be available and when to give their guests space. Nearly all of our stand-out dining and beach experiences (and there were many) came from their recommendations. They quite genuinely seemed to take pleasure in us having an amazing time. During our stay, a couple arrived with a younger boy and we saw them being greeted at the gate and shown around--just like we were. The next day when we came back from the beach, Josh and Mario were both standing next to a new small bike they had bought that day, so excited to surprise the boy when he and his family came back to the house. They are like your favorite uncles. One last note, I'd read that Tulum is expensive (which is why we stopped to shop for groceries on the way). That wasn't our experience at all--at least not by Seattle standards. I think it is if you stay and dine at the eco-tourist resorts and restaurants.

Home Away From Home

This is an excellent place to stay at in Tulum. The apartment was clean, comfy, and had everything that one needed. If not Josh and Mario were only to willing to supply us with any supplies that we needed. Josh and Mario were always willing to give us advice as to what to see in the area, where to eat, and many many more helpful suggestions. The pool and garden area is very lovely and welcoming. The pictures on the website demonstrate that. I took many swims in the pool each day and loved it. The downtown area is within walking distance, but the bikes that were available made accessibility to other areas that much easier and fun. We used them everyday. Josh and Mario go above and beyond to make you comfortable.I highly recommend using this apartment, you wont be disappointment. Thanks Josh and Mario. We hope to come bacl

La estancia fue muy agradable. El apartamento está ubicado en un recinto donde viven los propietarios, a parte hay 3 apartamentos más. Tuvimos la suerte de que el resto de apartamentos no estuviesen ocupados durante nuestra estancia. El trato con los propietarios fue muy cercano. We were very friendly received and informed by Alejandro + Alex. Always they had a kind word and we could ask them at any time if what should be. The pictures and the description of the apartment are 100% correct. The facility is super nice. Mario, the owner we have also met. He is very friendly and allowed us to set our dive gear. The only thing that has disturbed is a Stromagregat on the back of the road. This was very loud and ran until the morning hours. But there Mario can also nothing for it. Beautiful appartment in Tulum

We were 2 couples travelling together and stayed 4 nights with Mario and Josh. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful apartment, very clean and comfy beds. The swimming pool is a big plus and the rooftop place is just perfect with a small pool and areas to hang around. Mario and josh were great from the moment we arrived until the very end of our stay. We got a lot of good food and activity recommendations. This is the best place we’ve ever stayed in when booking from Airbnb or HomeAway!
