This was a gem! Pretty grounds. Well cared for. Reasonably priced. Away from the busy area. The rooms were clean and super comfy bed. Generally a well cared for complex. And the Cielo’s restaurant next door had the unusual combo of amazing food and excellent service courtesy of Ben!

Very convenient room layout, centrally located in Tucson but still felt like a resort! Had a very relaxing time here! Also great that there was not an additional cost for parking.

The room was ok, elderly father nearly fell in the very slippery bathtub shower. no grippers on the floor. long black hairs on the ceiling above the shower and in the shower, kinda gross, doesn't make me feel like it was thoroughly cleaned between guests. other than that the facilities are outstanding, the resturaunt was amazing and parking is secure and safe.

Hotel grounds are beautiful. Our room was in a location adjacent to the road and a little loud at times. The rooms are nicely decorated but ours showed its age. We had a problem with our shower drain not draining but hotel staff fixed it very quickly and then cleaned the bathroom and provided new towels immediately after the repair. Wish we had not had the problem but their response time was excellent. Had drinks and appetizers at the restaurant and all were excellent. Had breakfast at the restaurant 2 mornings, it was buffet style and decent but lacked variety for the cost.

Room was poorly equipped, WiFi was terrible, no power outlets near the bed, coffee supplies inadequate. Kettle cord did not reach outlet. No usable mirrors. Breakfast area badly understaffed - the ones there did their best, but were overwhelmed. Overall poor - more concerned with saving money than serving guests.

I did a previous review in error - thought it was for another place we stayed on this trip. The place was nice, the front desk person checking us in was super nice, very friendly. There're only two complaints. The poor-quality pillows and the glass block around the bath. What is up with that? Whoever thought that was a good idea was clearly not inside when it was being done. lol.. That was a little disturbing. People could see into the bathroom, shadows but still see in. But I thought the space was nice. Roomy room. We could see where a big spill was on the carpet, not sure if it was from a pet or? We travel through twice a year and would stay again, another room and bring our own pillows maybe?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars) We had a really nice stay at Lodge on the Desert! The property has a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere and the pool area was definitely one of the highlights—peaceful, clean, and perfect for unwinding. We booked a fireside casita and while it didn’t quite match the photos (ours didn’t have the full couch and seating area shown in the listing), it was still a lovely room. The little fireplace added such a cozy touch, especially in the evenings. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’d definitely consider returning—just might double-check room details next time to make sure we get exactly what’s pictured.
