Rabun until the election of Gov. Clark. First officers of Talbot County, commissioned February 9, 1828, were: Abraham Laurence, Sheriff; Samuel C. Leech, Clerk Superior Court; William S. Goss, Clerk Inferior Court; Benjamin Loyd, Surveyor; Hubbard Brown, Coroner.
