The room was incredibly loud. It sounded like someone was moving furniture all night long. My room was at the top of the staircase on the second floor. Very noisy. It also overlooked the street so tragic and pedestrians was a constant noise. The room was incredibly out dated. The bed cover and shams seemed dirty.

Incredible location in a very cute town. Quick walk to the lake. Lots of eateries close by, including in-house. Beautiful neighborhoods to walk through. Nice accommodations, comfy beds. In great old historic building. Good breakfast on beautiful patio.

Wonderful historic inn!

Pros: Everything!
Cons: There are three floors in the Inn. There is no elevator which might be a problem for some people.
Location: This area of New York is beautiful. It is near the Finger Lakes. Beautiful rolling, green hills in summer; lots of snow in winter!
We loved our stay at the Lincklaen House! My sister, niece, and I stayed while on a trip through upstate NY for my niece to look at colleges. Even though we were there for only one night, it felt like a refreshing vacation. The rooms were very attractive with antique furniture, nicely chosen artwork and very comfortable beds. All of the staff who we encountered were warm, welcoming, and helpful. The inn also has restaurants. It was an unexpected treat to find a beautiful outdoor patio on a beautiful summer evening on which to leisurely enjoy a very good meal. We could have chosen a beautiful ornate "fine dining" indoor dining room, a pub, or an indoor version of the patio dining room. The breakfast that was included with our stay was also very good. The coffee was excellent! In addition to a make your own waffles station with fresh blueberries and good syrup, there were fresh fruit, pastries, toast, yogurt, cereal choices and yummy raspberry jam. It was served in a comfortable dining room with an ambiance to help start the day - tablecloths, soft music, real forks, period furnishings. The inn is in the center of town, right on the main street and we were on the street side of the building, yet we did not notice street noise within our rooms and slept soundly through the night. Prices were very reasonable for both the rooms and dining.
