Extremely loud, building shaking demolition work permitted next to the building through the entire night until 5 am then started up again at 6.30. Police were called but advised the construction company had a permit was in place. We can’t understand how any council would allow this noise violation in a residential area. No sleep was had. Money was only partially refunded by the Savoy Hotel.

Very comfortable and clean. Small things though need to be checked - e.g. the kettle cord didn't reach the power point (had to boil with kettle on floor). One bed lamp didn't work as the turn on switch did not work. Very friendly staff on check-in and departure.

We enjoyed our stay at The Savoy Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect as it is set in the heart of Double Bay close to a large choice of restaurants and amenities. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating upon check-in.

Solid clean hotel with amazing location in Double Bay. The property is a bit older and could probably use a refresh soon, but it’s still a very suitable accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Thankfully it was a well-priced room! The lights flickered quite badly, there was no door on the shower so the bathroom floor was awash, and the tap was not fixed in very well in the sink.

Concenient location with lots if bus routes and cafes close by, but the bathroom was old, flush button was sticky, and there were spiderwebs and algae on the outside of the bathroom window
