Nicely decorated, decent sized rooms with great small touches. Inclusion of a coffee maker is great for early morning starts. Beds are comfortable and blockout blinds effective. Clean and tidy if somewhat compact bathroom. Open rail for clothes and a single drawer which also houses the safe. Fridge is a practical size for a few nights stay. Comfy air chair. Only critique is daily messages on the TV selling drinks or late checkouts.

Unfortunately we checked into our room late at night and didn't realise how dark and gloomy it was. There are better rooms in the hotel so ensure you have a window with an outside view

Very close proximity to bus lines and Surry Hill businesses. Walkable neighborhood. Fun vibe. Have stayed here on 2 occasions. The 1st room was spotless, the 2nd needed a little TLC. Specifically the carpet in that room needed to be cleaned. Very reasonable breakfast offerings. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Liked having in room Nespresso machine.

Our stay was good, bed was good, very different lay out, very colourful and retro. Easy walk for food, shops, CBD. Only 20mins drive to airport. A little disappointed, the room smelt musty, stains on carpets, the hand soap and moisturiser were empty when we arrived. Would rate 7 - 10.

I visit Sydney quite often, and this time I ended up booking this place since my usual options were unavailable. Among the available hotels, I chose this one for its proximity to both Central Station and the ICC — both within walking distance. If you're coming from Central with luggage, I’d recommend taking an Uber. The uphill angle is fairly steep and might be much with a suitcase. But if you're someone who enjoys of intense workout, it could be worth the effort. I had a very light boarding bag and some time to spare, so walking up while taking in the area was actually enjoyable. There’s a café in the lobby where you can get breakfast, and a restaurant/bar attached on the lobby area too. The overall design had a lively feel, and while the bathroom in my room felt slightly dated, it was clean and well-kept enough to feel okay. The price was under $200, which felt fair in that area. Check-in was simple, and the receptionist in the afternoon was friendly. Check-out was also relatively smooth. Just something to note — if you have a set time for a train or flight, I’d suggest checking out earlier. The person at reception in the morning seemed to be handling other work too. I said hello, but there was no immediate response or direction. I just stood there unsure for a moment It wasn’t a big deal, and I understand staff can get busy, but if your timing is tight like mine was, it might be safer to give yourself extra time in the morning. Other than that it was good :]
