I booked this hotel room for New Year’s Eve. The room itself was clean, nice, and comfortable. From a purely accommodation standpoint, everything inside the room was fine.
However, the overall experience was very disappointing. At check-in, I asked about dinner options and was told that all restaurants were fully reserved. We were not informed in advance that restaurant reservations were required, despite speaking twice with a staff member before booking. Because of this lack of communication, we had no choice but to eat at a Chinese restaurant outside the hotel.
We were also told there would be a party after 10:30 PM, but when we went to the Chinese restaurant area again later, there was only background music and a few people present. There was no atmosphere, no celebration, and no reason for guests to stay there. Unsurprisingly, most guests were actually gathered at the hotel restaurant on the first floor, which we could not access due to reservations we were never told we needed.
In the end, we paid for an expensive room and essentially just slept there. There were no activities, no New Year’s experience, and no value beyond the room itself.
The next morning was equally disappointing. When we went to get breakfast, we were told the kitchen was closed. There was no breakfast available, no coffee, and no alternative offered.
