The host is great, the place is very clean and the big thing for me is that the BBQ is still out, there are a couple of great butcher shops in the area so staying at a place that has a BBQ all winter is a great draw for me.

It was great. I know having the bathroom and showers in different spot was different but still loved it. In touch with nature. A great place to stay. Room was cozy. My cat liked it. "This hotel presents itself as upscale. That may have been true at one time, but unfortunately, it no longer reflects today’s reality.
The hallway leading to my room was in very ordinary condition. It is clearly overdue for renovations. The furniture was badly damaged, and the bathroom was acceptable, but nothing more.
What I find especially unacceptable in 2026 is having a weak Internet signal. On top of that, the available TV channels were mostly American. Aren’t we in Canada?
Following my complaint, I was offered a $25 credit, which I did not use. My goal was not to receive compensation, but rather to let people know that this hotel, despite having good staff, is not living up to the image it projects.
The staff was courteous, but the property clearly needs serious attention and major renovations."
