Gorgeous view and close to downtown shopping and delicious food! Even took advantage of hotel discount at local restaurant. Some things could be better maintained...pool area paint peeling/chipped, broken floor lamp in room, couch in room had a hole in it. very nice at surface just some of the details need to be attended to.

All previous stays at Bridgeport dating back to 2009 have ranked perfect 5 star ratings across the board. Not so in 2022. The "resort's" COVID-19 protocol allows for 2 glasses, 2 plates, 2 towels, 2 washcloths per room & NO in room service. Not convenient but understandable. Likes: Best balcony view in SB. Location is fantastic, & the walk to either side of town is beautiful & easy. Manager allowed us to cancel last night with 48 hour notice due to family emergency. Dislikes: General condition of hotel has deteriorated to poor, & cleanliness is bad. Spider webs, mold & nasty smells. In room whirlpool in particular was filthy, covered in black grime that came off with a soapy washcloth. But when we asked to have the whirlpool cleaned, 2 staffers arrived without masks, gloves or any semblance of COVID-19 protocol. We're on board with conserving water & towel laundry, but please stop blaming COVID-19 protocol for staff shortages. The 2 staffers weren't prepared to clean the tub, so we scheduled for after 9 am next day. The tub wasn't cleaned by 6 pm next day, so my wife went down to the front desk to inquire why it had still not been addressed. The staffer interrupted my wife twice, to which my wife asked her to please allow her to finish speaking. The staffer reaction caught us both by surprise – she threatened to kick us out for "being rude"! Wow - my wife’s tone was not at ALL rude. We will have to give serious thought as to if we will ever stay here again.

Beautiful view from the balcony! Beds are very comfortable and spacious living room area and nice kitchen! Only drawback was the balconies should be spray washed to get rid of heavy cobwebs and spiders.

Overall it's a great hotel. Could definitely be cleaned more thoroughly. Also didn't appreciate having two bath towels for the three of us... something easy to ensure for your guests. Also the door handle to our fridge was barely hanging on and the mattress in the pull out sofa had to be years old. With a little more care and updating it would be a spectacular place to stay.

We enjoyed being in close proximity to the walking trail along the water and the playground for the kids just up the road.
