No pets of any kind allowed at this home. Emotional support animals are not allowed. By law service animals are allowed. If you are planning on bringing a service animal please reach out to us ahead of time so we can verify paperwork. If a pet is brought on the premises without alerting us the reservation will be cancelled.

To provide a high level of security and safety all Berkshire Vacation Rental Co. properties are equipped with a security camera facing the parking area.

Parking is VERY TIGHT in Mahkeenac Shores. Please carpool whenever possible. There is only parking FOR TWO CARS MAXIMUM in the driveway. There is no additional parking inside Mahkeenac Shores. Any cars beyond two will need to be parked in the town of Stockbridge.

***IMPORTANT NOTE, PER OUR HOA REGULATIONS WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HAVE ANY TRASH BINS OUTSIDE. ALL TRASH NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT BY GUESTS TO THE TOWN TRANSFER STATION, JUST A SHORT DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD.

Everything was as described. This was a cottage in a community by the shore of the Stockbridge Bowl, a one minute walk to a beach and kayak launch, five minute drive to Tanglewood and Lenox. The cottage itself is small but has been tastefully updated in terms of bathroom fixtures and kitchen. Communication with the ownership team was great--quick responses to even small questions, Our only suggestion would be to up the quality of the mattresses. Would happily stay here again.

House was very rustic. The sleeping accommodations were not as expected. The two rooms in the attic were very hot. They had an air conditioner across the attic, and it was a window unit. It cooled the house, but not the room in the attic. I realize there was a heat wave, but that attic room was very hot. We were able to get the rest of the house cooled off. The small table on the porch was not big enough to sit people to eat dinner. You need potholders and more dish towels more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels another ceiling fan on the porch over the table, some baker shelves or shelving on the porch to put more things. It was convenient to the Lake, but it was not on the property as pictured there should have been another air conditioner in that small bedroom in the attic.
