Our stay at this summer loft was exactly the refreshing getaway our family needed. It’s a rare find to find a place that comfortably accommodates all three of us plus our dog, but this layout was perfect. We lucked out with gorgeous weather, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was peaceful and rejuvenating—we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The location on the beach was fabulous - the house needs some TLC we were seeing carpenter ants on both decks and in the house. There is a bit of upkeep needed - rust on nails to stairway and green mold on the bannister … I think a good power washing and some refurb would be good but we would be willing to rent again.

The location was the only good thing about this property. The house is cute but needs some TLC. There is no central AC and that made for a hellish week. It’s a split system that cannot handle an A frame home. The downstairs bedroom had zero ventilation and the upstairs bedroom…we know heat rises. The bathroom smelled and felt like a porta potty and had zero ventilation as well. Had we not personally brought 4 fans and the company provided 3 more after two days of complaints it would not have been doable at all. I was led to believe that previous complaints regarding the AC system were all fixed and we would be taken care of. This cannot be the situation we dealt with and absolutely ridiculous when you’re paying 400 a night. No dishwasher as stated and the outdoor furniture is terrible. I would recommend staying somewhere else unless you can stand the heat.

Dune House is fantastic

Perfect location steps from the beach. Everything was great. Only downsides are that the porch could use a little shade/lounge furniture and there is very little privacy if traveling with children.

Perfecr Family Vacation

This dune house was the perfect vacation for my family. Its so close to the beach and not far from great restaurants. If you want a vacation that seems secluded but still close to town this is the spot. We will definitely be back.

Great location...rough conditions

Location can't be beat. Three a/c units and still the lower bedroom is unbearable. A/C units all need to have their filter cleaned. Porch furnither should have been repalced years ago...peeling and stains clothing. Grill was great. Stove cooktop constantly displayed "hot surface" even when cooktop was not in use. Burners were inconsistent and hard to use. Location was great. No ice maker. Water was terrible...bring bottled water. Path to beach while short has a buried old deck someone was too lazy to remove and is exposed in some spots with screws sticking up and potentially harming foot traffic. Great location. Funny there are dishwashing tablets under the sink but now dishwasher? Outdoor shower was great.

Quite location

The views are AMAZING! The home was ok. They don’t provide any beach supplies except beach towels. With it being on the beach that would be a plus. Also, had problem with stove not working properly but we made do. Contacted the property manager had a quick response. Then came home to A/C leaking on bed. Contacted manager got quick response. We came to agreement to come next day at 10 am. No show. Got a text at 2:30 saying that they were coming at 3:30. We rejected offer. Just seems like one thing after another. The place needs some TlC. But we made the best of our time here. One last thing the bed was not comfortable and the cottage could use a deep cleaning!

Perfect beach getaway

We loved this property. Extremely close to the ocean, saw dolphins daily. Has exactly what you need for a beach getaway. We came with our two kids and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We walked to the near by restaurants for food and coffee. Checkin and check out were both a breeze and communication with the owners were clear with extremely fast response times. We’ll definitely be back!

Pure Bliss

This is my second visit, and the views and relaxation is just as wonderful and amazing as my first visit. We had everything we needed to feel right at home, and the home was nice and cool to escape the Florida heat. The beachfront location is perfect and we loved waking up and watching the sun come up from the ocean from bed, and also watching the dolphins pass by everyday. The bed and pillows upstairs weren't the most comfortable for me personally, but that was just a minor inconvenience since we were there for the views. The dog friendly beach is so fun and not crowded, and we spent the majority of our time on the beach or on the back deck watching the waves. Publix is a quick drive to easily grab groceries and downtown St. Augustine is also a very easy 5-10 minute drive to explore all the attractions. We cant wait to visit again!
