"Solid hotel - Quaint, reasonable"
Nice hotel to stay at a reasonable price in wine country. A little outdated decor, but huge rooms and wonderfully comfortable beds. But 1991 called and it wants its TV back! LOL. Only other big complaint was the truly crappy continental breakfast - you think a historic hotel in the "same category" as the Sonoma Mission Inn could try a little harder than a Holiday Inn in the breakfast department.

Hotel staff was excellent and accomadating. Traveling as a couple they put us a little further away from the pool with the early a.m kids splashing. Hotel was close walking to everything. Would definitely stay again. breakfast was excellent

"Historic "
Hotel is under renovation and I can certainly appreciate saving historic structures . Location is excellent but it is still a little rough with all the renovations. Shared bath was fine although I rarely stay in hotels without private baths. As a historic architectural freak I applaud them saving this "old west" property

"Nice hotel close to shopping"
We recently stayed for four nights at this hotel in Santa Rosa. For us it was a very convenient location close to the doctor I needed to see, easy to get to and within walking distance of many cute shops & restaurants in a historic part of town. The hotel was clean & quiet, very nice pool area, very helpful staff & the manager was personable, wanting to make sure our stay was good. We would definitely stay here again.

"Superb choice for Sonoma"
Amazingly beautiful and posh hotel that is close to Sonoma town center and wineries. Luxurious lobby with wine tasting every evening. Also has different activities every night (Paint Nite, live Jazz, Wine lecture). Provides free shuttle to town center 8am to 10:45 pm. Our room was in Broadway building. Very spacious with two double beds, a pullout sofa, has our own small balcony. Bathroom has Aveda amenities with toilet in a separate room so you can use it while someone else is showering. Pool area is beautiful with fire pits, lots of chairs, cabana like corners; though you need to get there early to get a nice, shaded spot. Cafe and restaurant are upscale with price to match. Also used their day spa---tranquil oasis. If you get a service you can stay all day, otherwise have to pay for day pass. Overall, a nice splurge; not cheap, but you feel pampered and this is exactly what I have in mind when I want to stay at a"resort hotel ".
