"It was awesome!"
This was the 1st time my 8 year old granddaughter had stayed in a "fancy" hotel! She loved everything about it from the huge fluffy bed to the gold knobs on bathroom handles! We had a delightfully wonderful night at Hotel LaRose and breakfast was great. Our next adventure will take us to San Francisco and hopefully we can find a small intimate place as nice as this hotel was.

"Historic "
Hotel is under renovation and I can certainly appreciate saving historic structures . Location is excellent but it is still a little rough with all the renovations. Shared bath was fine although I rarely stay in hotels without private baths. As a historic architectural freak I applaud them saving this "old west" property

"Great location, pristine grounds and room"
We really enjoyed the short walk to the square, the yoga classes and the fireplace. Can't wait to visit again in the summer to enjoy the newly redone pool.

"MacArthur Place Sonoma"
Nice accommodations, friendly helpful staff, great spa & massage, very good breakfast & dinners at Saddles the restaurant.....only drawback was our lodging was next to a main road so there was some inordinate amount of traffic noise at times.....next time would stay at one of their rooms further back from the entrance road.

"Recently renovated rooms...a surprise"
Room appeared recently renovated. Everything updated and fresh decor and fixtures throughout. Looked like an old style hotel (architecture, not poor exterior finishes), so didn't know what to expect. Nicely surprised. Even had an Illy Espresso machine in each room. Comfortable bed (although it makes me crazy when every hotel thinks a down comforter is necessary...even when it is 100 degrees outside).
