NIce Option

Pros: Nice room and accommodations. Nice complimentary breakfast.
Cons: More light especially near the mirror.
Location: Good restaurants within walking distance. Not bad traffic even during rush hour.
Staff was very accommodating. I was surprised that there was shampoo and conditioner yet no lotion in the room. I asked the front desk and they offered to provide and when I requested it with ear plugs, they gladly provided. For breakfast, the staff member brought me freshly cooked bacon when none was offered on the breakfast bar that day. One night I wasn't feeling well so ordered dinner from the room and the gentleman made a second trip to bring me a full carafe of hot water and tea bags. You may need the complimentary earplugs because the rail system is loud at night.

Great experience!

We made a last-minute reservation with a very late (early morning hours) check in time—no problem!!! Room was in third floor, and it was quiet, clean, and had everything needed. Breakfast was included, and it was really good, plenty of options! Add a well-lit parking structure, and I’d give this hotel an A++!

Bed bugs? Dust mites?

My son and I have dust mite allergies and both had running noses and itchy eyes the night we stayed at Hyatt place. My husband woke up with a bunch of bites on his back. Room appeared to look clean though. Other than that, breakfast was good, staff were pleasant, and location was good. Not sure I would spend that much for a miserable nights rest.

Bathrooms need updating. Breakfast was Great! Free

Pros: Lobby and Bar
Cons: Bathrooms and decrease the price of parking, this is not SF!
Location: Very central location to everything Downtown San jose
Great location if attending a Sharks game or show at the Perf. arts Center, walking distance. Hotel is very accommodating. has a bar with plenty of seating and is open until 12AM. Rooms are spacious and have a sitting area with couch. Bathrooms are just ok. They are very much in need of updating. The breakfast, for being included was really good. Not just a typical continental breakfast. they had hot breakfast sandwiches, lots of fruit, cereal, breads etc... Overall, i would give my stay a 4 out of 5 stars.

Pretty nice overall.

Only complaint was parking for guests limited due to a big party at hotel. Eve bartender not very friendly.

Didn't stay

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Check in and disclosure about events
Location: We went to our granddaughter's swim meet
We did not stay.... When we arrived the place was a zoo. Hundreds of people shouting at each other, total chaos. We tried to check in and could not. My wife felt nervous and did not feel it was a good environment to stay there As we were having our daughter and granddaughter joining us. The front desk clerk was not helpful..we were forced to pay a penalty to cancel which we had believed wAs not required.

Amazing staff

The staff is the best thing about this hotel. Very warm, friendly, sincere and helpful. Really good breakfast, nice clean rooms, and close to everything. This hotel is the best bang for the buck downtown.

Not happy with overall service

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, Poor breakfast
Not very happy wiht overall service! heather was not working in the room the first night and it was very cold! Asked for it to be looked at in the morning, and came back to the room later in the morning, and air conditioning had been set at full blast - absolutely not what I had requested. Technician came back and had to replace the unit. When asked for late check out, was told that it would be ok, but would be changed 50% of room charge, although was allowed to leave my car in the paid parking garage until the end of my event. Breakfast was poor, and staff started to remove it way too early with still too many people helping themselves. Staff should wait until customers are done with their breakfast before they help themselves, or as they remove items from the breakfast bar and into the back! Very noisy, when other guests used the bathroom!! No apologies or consideration was given to the fact that we had to spend the first night cold due to a broken heather!

good value

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: expensive parking
Hyatt took over this property and renovated it - 4 months ago. Rooms are clean and spacious - not very noisy at all. Close to the airport (about a 20$ ride on cab - parking at hotel is super expensive - almost as much as you'd pay for a one day rental...). the room doors look super old, elevators look like from a warehouse, and the carpet designs aren't exactly award-winning. But the breakfast is excellent - plenty of options. WiFi is highly reliable. The lobby space and meeting rooms are very good as well.
