Had to pay £50/night for my dog to accompany me when I booked the hotel specifically because it was advertised as dog-friendly. Spa facilities are very small but the treatments are excellent. Food is abysmal, disappointing and overpriced. Bar is limited with few non alcoholic options and appalling non alcoholic cocktails. All the staff are friendly and helpful but have their work cut out for them in a tired hotel past its best. There are signs of half-completed basic renovations and worn, tired carpets. Lovely gardens.

Disappointing stay and poor management response Unfortunately, this visit was a real let-down. Key spa facilities were not available, including the outdoor pool and jets, and there was visible refurbishment taking place during the weekend, which significantly affected the atmosphere - this wasn’t communicated in advance. The car park was poorly maintained with potholes and damage as well as an outside wall. Most disappointing was the response from staff and management. We raised these issues multiple times during our stay, including with the front desk manager, but nothing was done to resolve them.
