"It was a good stay for us, the room was clean, staff very friendly, but if you are a non smoker, there's second hand smoke in the breakfast area or common areas, which is typical of most properties as the staff smoke. "Dali Taoxi Secret Manor is easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The whole place feels like paradise with its beautiful gardens, and looking out at the mountains every morning was just stunning. My room was amazing and very well thought out. It had a fantastic bed, a wonderful bathroom, and a nice little courtyard. My spot right next to the main hall was perfect, and the mountain view from the room was incredible. Breakfast was great every morning—always fresh, delicious, and consistent. The location is also very good. It is an easy 10-minute walk past some nice old shops right to the gate of Dali Old Town, so it’s close to everything but still quiet. The best part of all was the staff. They really know what they are doing. They were warm, helpful, and genuine, but they also knew when to give you your space and when to offer help. A truly wonderful place. I couldn't have asked for a better stay."
