Cabin was as pictured and the views were great. Beds were comfortable. We did a lot of cooking and found most of the pots/pans/utensils we were looking for. Could have used an extra pot holder or two. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This was the perfect getaway. The views are amazing! The three levels let everyone spread out and have space and peace. :) We had a lot planned for this trip, but I want to come back and just be in this space. 15 out of 10!

The view was absolutely amazing, the beds are very comfortable, the cabin was very cozy, we loved every bit of our stay and will definitely be back at some point. Our host recommended some very good attractions, we hiked Grotto Falls and Ramsey Cascades, both hikes were beautiful, Ramsey was much a longer and harder hike but was worth every bit of it. Doly Stampede was another fun entertainment.

The cabin was lovely and just as pictured! The views were fantastic. Kristen responded quickly to any message and gave us ideas of things to do while in town. The views from the deck were breathtaking and the sunset was gorgeous! Definitely would stay here again!

Red-Tailed Retreat is an absolutely AMAZING cabin to stay in!! Our family has been to a few different cabins in the area over the years, and all 4 of us agree this is our absolute favorite! The cabin was super clean and well maintained, had absolutely gorgeous views, very comfortable beds, lots of entertainment, and was a great place to relax at the end of a long day. The host was hands down the best we have ever dealt with! Kristen is super communicative & friendly, and very easy to get ahold of if needed. We had one little question and she responded to me within minutes. We appreciated all of her tips and suggestions that she sent to us before the trip such as places to visit, restaurants to try, etc. You can tell that she truly cares about her guests and wants everyone to have a fantastic experience! I highly, highly recommend this cabin to anybody visiting the Smokies :) We hope to come back again!

Beautiful cabin with spectacular view!

If you are going to Tennessee for a view, this cabin is it! I heeded the reviews and made sure that I drove up the mountain for the first time while it was daylight. The first trip up was a little frightening. By the end of the week, it was no big deal. The cabin has every amenity you could need. The pool is a short three minute drive from the cabin. We had a large SUV, truck, and a smaller SUV which we were able to park in front of the house. Views were absolutely stunning. We were able to watch the fireworks from Dollywood every night also. It’s about a 15 minute drive down to Parkway and the strip. We enjoyed the pool table and games. We had no issues with this cabin. Would highly recommend.

Our family loved everything about our stay here! The cabin was beautiful/clean, and the view was absolutely breath-taking! We had three separate families (6 adults and 4 kids) on our trip and the layout was perfect. The adults had their own comfortable king size beds and adjoining bathrooms. The kids had a queen size bunk room with a bathroom and the oldest child used the fold out bed in the loft to have her own space. When we were at the cabin, we spent most of our time on the decks enjoying the view or in the hot tub! The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and there was seating for everyone at the table or island. We had plenty of towels/washcloths in the bathrooms and basket of towels on the lower level specifically for the hot tub. We also used the washer/dryer several times, and both worked great. We went to the community pool twice and it was only a 3 minute drive from the cabin. The drive to the cabin is curvy and steep, but that was communicated up front and expected… and completely worth it for the quality of the cabin and the amazing view! We went to Ripley’s Aquarium, Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, Tanger Outlet, and multiple restaurants in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville during our stay. The cabin was very convenient to all of these locations (15-25 minute drive to most things). You can also have groceries and food delivered to the cabin (we used Instacart). Kristen was an amazing host and replied quickly if I asked a question. We highly recommend this cabin!!

Wonderful Family Trip

Our family (myself, husband, 4 boys ages 6-14, and grandparents) stayed at the Red Tailed Retreat for four nights over Memorial Day weekend. We highly recommend. Kristen was responsive to any question I had. She also provides a guidebook for the cabin once you've booked with so much information about the cabin and area to help you plan. She provided lots of great recommendations for places to eat that we really enjoyed. The cabin was the perfect set up for our family with how the spaces were laid out. Plenty of room for everyone and very clean. The views from the cabin were amazing! Be aware when planning your outings from the cabin, it does take some time to get up and down the mountain and into town depending on where you're heading. Close to Dollywood. We spent one day there. Two days we did hikes in the park and planned those outings with other activities/eating out to make the most of our time out of the cabin rather than going back and forth. Our boys also really loved the pool table and arcade video games. We'd love to stay here again!

Spectacular!

While the drive up the mountain is daunting to say the least, it was well worth it! The cabin and views are spectacular. The cabin was clean, spacious and well thought out. Plenty of space for a larger family/group. The arcade games and pool table were a nice touch! While we didn’t use the hot tub, it was extremely clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation!
