MAIN AREA
From the front entrance, you’ll enter into the open concept living room, dining room, kitchen space; a warm and inviting atmosphere with tongue-in-groove wood on all the walls and ceilings and cozy lodge furnishings. The living room is grand with cathedral ceilings and a stone surround electric fireplace.

ENTERTAINMENT
There’s something for everyone at Mountain Mist Retreat! The huge theater room features a 10.5’ projector screen, six stadium seating recliners, a sofa sleeper couch, and two five-feet wide poufs - big enough for an adult to feel like a kid again! The room also features a kitchenette with a wet bar, microwave, and mini-fridge. Plus a wide selection of DVDs are available. Or stream movies from Amazon Prime (included) or sign in to your favorite streaming app. There are also a variety of puzzles, board games, and children’s toys in the chest and cabinets.

Upstairs in the loft, there’s a six-foot billiards/ping pong table. Whether you’re a movie buff, a board game aficionado, puzzler, or billiards champ, you’re sure to be entertained during your stay.

There’s a large covered wrap-around deck with plenty of seating where you can take in the mountain views. In the distance you’ll see the twinkling lights from downtown Pigeon Forge, including the Ferris wheel at the Island. Grill up your favorite meal on the gas grill, then unwind in the brand new hot tub.

BEDROOMS

Each bedroom has its own en suite full bathroom for your convenience.

Get swept away in the spacious primary bedroom replete with a king size bed, electric fireplace, bistro table and chairs, cozy sitting area, and desk. Take in the mountain views from the private balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee or wind down with a glass of wine. Separate from the rest of the cabin, this suite is truly a retreat!

The other two bedrooms each have a queen size bed and en suite bathrooms. The main floor bedroom is adjacent to the theater room. The other bedroom is off the loft space and has a cozy reading nook. See the floor plan in the photos section to get an idea of the flow of the cabin. No matter which bedroom you’re in, you’ll wake up to beautiful mountain views.

There’s an additional sleeping space in the theater room, which has a brand new sleeper sofa with a full size mattress (52”x72”).

OTHER INFORMATION
Please note that this cabin is in the Smoky Mountains and while the roads are paved and well maintained, they can be curvy or steep in places. If you are travelling during the winter, please check the weather as a 4WD vehicle may be required if there is snow or ice. Most guests have no issues whatsoever, even with a 2WD car.

We do recommend travel insurance as there are no cancellations or refunds due to weather or vehicle issues. This can be purchased through VRBO.

Loved it!

The house was a good size. The theater room was awesome! Great master bedroom. Both of our teenage girls had their own rooms and bathroom. The only awkward thing was having to walk through the bedroom on the main floor to get the theater room. Great views!

Beautiful cabin!! It was extremely clean. We all loved having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The movie room was fabulous. We were able to watch the PSU game on the huge screen! We used the hot tub each night. Beautiful views and we saw 4 bears! Only negative was the driveway. It was difficult to navigate

This property is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The theater room was awesome. We had 3 teenage girls and a 6 year old girl and there was plenty at the cabin to entertain them. Word of advice, lock your cars and remove food from cars

Beautiful cabin

This cabin was amazing! Exceptionally clean, everyone had their own bedroom with full bathroom, our adult kids loved the pool/ping pong table, the hot tub was clean and worked wonderfully, the theater room was amazing and it was just as pictured. The road up is paved and definitely steep with sharp curves but this was noted in the listing.

Jeep invasion

Stayed at this property weekend of Jeep invasion. Really nice cabin. Everyone loved the theatre room and the hot tub. Very spacious. Only downside was little hard to get to and no washcloths. Everything else was perfect. Also, morning we were leaving we got to see a momma bear and her cubin the driveway.

Perfect Mountain Gateway

This is the second time we’ve rent this cabin. We love the mountain and quiet outside of the busy downtown area. Black bears visited daily and we loved it! The cabin has everything you need and more. Very spacious, clean, well maintained, and lots of fun for kids/teens adults (games, pool table, theater room). We highly recommend for families visiting the area. The hosts are extremely responsive and very thoughtful about the guest experience.

Up on the Hilltop

This property was decent, but would have liked better pictures or explanation of the driveway. It could use some updates to keep it fresh and comfortable. New carpet, decor, couches. It just felt a bit outdated, musky. One bathroom sink needed it's drain cleaned out, fresh soap in all bathrooms would have been nice. We bought some. But the size of cabin was great, entertainment for kids and size of rooms was perfect for 7 of us. Expect a 10-15 min drive from cabin to Parkway (main highway) to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Thank you!!

Exceptional cabin with all the amenities you would want

Challenging ride up to the cabin, would definitely recommend a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. The cabin is spacious and well equipped. Great location, about 25 minutes away from the Smoky Mountain National Park, close to restaurants and grocery stores. Highlights include a large home theater and a full bath in each bedroom. Our host was responsive and did everything possible to make for an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful cabin and views

I messaged Joe at least 3 times prior to our vacation and he was very quick to respond and very accommodating. This cabin was immaculate! It was so clean and had so many extras like shampoo/conditioner/liquid soap dispensers in every bathroom, plus a hair dryer in every room. Plenty of toilet paper provided. Also lots of garbage bags, dishwasher detergent plus washer/dryer detergent. Most places give a "starter" supply but you have to buy more. My only complaint is I don't believe 4 car parking. We had 3, 2 SUVs and a sedan. That was complicated for us, but made it work. I believe 2 vehicles are ideal, 3 is doable but in our experience, don't recommend 4. They include lots of games and videos. Check every room, they had games and such stashed in so many rooms. Not to mention the pool table/ping pong table. We had so much fun. Also the movie room and the recliners and pouf chairs. Also we saw black bears 2 of the days we were there. The best was the day before we left, we saw a momma bear and babies. Got to watch them below the driveway, then walk across and go up beside the cabin to the neighbors above. Truly enjoyed our time there and hope to visit again. We had a great experience! Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin!

Great property, but bring your SUV!

This cabin is great. It's well-appointed, comfortable, spacious, and the theater room is fantastic. The host is great with communication, and the property is a quick 15 minutes from downtown Pigeon Forge. The only issue is getting there. If you have 4- wheel drive, or it's pretty weather, you'll be fine, but my brother had to unload his family to make it up the final hill in his van when it was raining. Portions of the road are well above a 45° grade.

Awesome Cabin

This is a beautiful cabin!! And VERY CLEAN!! Had small hiccup with door code, that was resolved very quickly with a phone call from Joe. Loved the theatre room!! Our teenage son even slept in the theatre room since it was so dark, quiet and comfortable. Be prepared for STEEP entry to the driveway…but we managed and even was pulling an enclosed trailer. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!! Oh and we saw a bear walking around the neighbor’s property. :)

Tricky location, beautiful cabin

First of all, the cabin and host were amazing! The cabin is spacious, 3 bedrooms with their own full bathroom, theater room, and living area. Stocked kitchen and BBQ grill. All were clean, comfortable, and well decorated. There could be more seating in the living room-we had 6 people for one couch and a love seat. The host was very responsive to every question and was always available. The hot tub, ping pong/pool table were greatly used by our bunch!! My only complaint was the drive up. Others have noted this, but truly—if you do not have 4WD or a truck or special tires it is very difficult. It also rained every single day we were there, so that certainly made it worse. The road is very narrow, winding, and steep. Some people may be totally used to this terrain, but we are from flat land Arkansas and it made us very nervous. This is no fault of the host, but it would influence our decision to stay here again. We didn’t leave the cabin much. Overall, we had a great visit, just did not expect that steep drive.

Shoet Family Vacation

Our family stayed here 4 nights. All the beds were comfy. Hot tub was great. We all loved the movie theater room, was great at night when we got back after after being out all day. The roads leading up to this cabin are a bit scary. There are alot of steep winding roads.

The house was clean, and everything in good working order. House was just as advertised. Roads to cabin get progressivly narrow and are very steep with hair pin curves. We were not made aware that you must travel past cabin to hilltop and turn around to enter driveway. Our attempt to turn right into drive way caused me to get stuck, tires never left pavement and driving full size SUV frontwheel drive. It was more difficult when roads wet.

Family vacation 2023

Beautiful cabin! Owner was very easy to contact and responded quickly. The view from the balcony is stunning!! We even had a visitor ( bear ) one day. We really enjoyed our time at the cabin and had a great vacation!!
