The Royal Marine Hotel
"We had a lovely stay at the Royal Marine Hotel. Our room was spacious with three huge bay windows overlooking the sea, an enormous comfortable bed and an excellent shower. It was very clean, although a fresh coat of paint and some attention to the skirting boards would make it even better. The room was generally quiet, apart from some noisy neighbouring guests one evening. The spa was fantastic. The receptionist was incredibly friendly, welcoming and funny, and really made us feel at ease. My massage was a little firmer than expected (she was determined to find every knot! 😂). Unfortunately, I did have a skin reaction afterwards, although I'm still unsure which product caused it. During our stay I suffered an endometriosis flare-up. One receptionist struggled to understand our request for nearby painkillers and came across as quite abrupt. Thankfully, the barista staff ere wonderful. One lady, whose sister also has endometriosis, showed genuine kindness, directed us to a pharmacy and made sure I had water and everything I needed. On arrival, it would have been helpful if the hotel amenities and restaurant availability had been explained, especially as a wedding meant some areas weren't available that weekend. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and in a stunning location. The nearby DART station made travelling into Dublin quick and easy. The highlight of our stay was the afternoon tea. The service was exceptional, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, a"
