The room was clean, appeared to be recently renovated, however bathroom amenities were missing (hand soap, cups, etc., missing bag for dirty clothes, notepad & pen). The floor custodial staff was very helpful. The hotel staff was helpful but seemed to always be in a hurry. I did not take breakfast since I could, and did have, the same thing for much less elsewhere.

I was in a king suite. The room was great. The staff in the dining area & at the front desk were always friendly & helpful. Hotel is about 2 blocks from the riverfront & city market area -- all very walkable & convenient. My only gripe about the hotel is the breakfast buffet was just OK. Twice the coffee urn was empty & once it was barely warm. The breakfast overall was not up to par with other Holiday Inns. Limited options & no bacon on 2 mornings!! I'm guessing there might be an inventory problem in the kitchen. Since the breakfast was the only negative, I'd give my 5 night experience a B+.

The room was clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful. My only comment is that the hair dryer vent needs to be cleaned. I was surprised that it even worked with all the dust in the filter. And your statement about the tip for the valet is misleading. While 100% does go t0 the valets it is split between the shifts. Going forward I will go back to tipping with cash directly.
