Within a 0.6-mile (1-kilometer) radius of the downtown precinct, Travelocity readers can enjoy the great Travelocity-listed rooms, such as the Hotel Friheden and Sandkås Hotel & Feriecenter.
The Hotel Nordlandet is located 2 miles (4 kilometers) outside of the middle of Sandkaas. An alternative place to stay is the Pension Klostergården, which is approximately 1 mile (2 kilometers) away. You could also investigate the Hotel Skovly or the Romantik vacation Apartments.
Gudhjem is 6 miles (10 kilometers) southeast of Sandkaas and boasts Oluf Host Museum and Osterlars Rundkirke. "A very nice room facing the seaside. Without AC, but with the provided fan we had a pleasant stay even in the heat. The room was very well kept and we had all we needed, maybe a couple of bottles of water free of charge would be nice, and some larger glasses, but as swedes we know the tap water is excellent in Denmark as well. The extra pillows in the cupboard could have been placed on the bed from the start. The breakfast was really good both mornings and we liked that some of the items were exchanged from day to day. The location is excellent, and we did enjoy the spa facilities. Danish hospitality at its best!"
