The Villa Motel in San Luis Obispo is a great place to stay. Check in was very quick and professional. A friendly "good morning" from the motel owner was an added bonus you don't usually get when traveling these days. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. We had a great night's sleep. There was all kinds of fun activities in the surrounding community. Our thanks to the Villa Motel in San Luis Obispo, for helping make our stay in San Luis Obispo

Location was fine, but motel lacked maintainance.

Pros: The location was central to my activities in the area, and easily accessible.
Cons: Spend some money on upkeep and maintenance I.E. clean or replace the carpet; fix the sink faucet so it dosen't leak; repair the electrical problems.
Location: This is a tourist location town with many specialty shops and a good college in a high agricultural area, and has good accessibility to the ocean.
The Motel did NOT accept Travelocity pre-pay on my Visa Debit card, and required payment at check-in. The motel was from the early 'sixties era, and showed a lack of maintenance. The room was a "NON SMOKING" room, but there was a residual tobacco smell in the room; and cigarette burn stains on the bathroom sink counter. The carpet had stains and did not appear to have been vacummed as there was lint and pieces of straw or hay on the floor. The bathroom sink ran water out from under both faucets when either was turned on. The bed was firm to a point of being hard. The lamp on the drawer set next to the bed had a bad switch that you had to push in hard and rotate or the lamp would not go on or off, and the knob to turn it on and off with just spun around in a circle. (thank goodness I had a small flashlight when I had to go to the bathroom in the night) The room walls echoed noise from adjoining rooms and from the second floor.

One-night Stay

Pros: The spacious room.
Cons: Add kleenex and clean the mold out of the bathroom.
Location: All convenient to downtown area.
For a one-night stay this room was fine. It was clean, the noise level was low and the bed was comfortable. The room was very large, (one queen bed) chairs a little uncomfortable, looked ok but seats have seen better days. Refrigerator and microwave good condition and convenient. I missed kleenx in the bathroom and there was mold in the shower. Management was OK, office was very neat and provided city information.
