Our room was in the best location down by the marina, right by the waterpark. It was a waterfront corner room with a double patio. All the food was great. We ate at several property restaurants, all great. Palomino island was fabulous and they mixed the best tropical drinks. The water was beautiful and enough lounge chairs and umbrellas for all guests. The entire resort was amazing

Room was comfortable and clean with a beautiful ocean view and the resort. I would definitely recommend for couple or families. The restaurants all serve delicious food.. one of my favorites was ventanas and the steakhouse! Did not disappoint will definitely come back!

I check in time was scheduled for 4 PM my room original room was not available so the staff put me in a horrible view room facing the utility area. My sister waited until 7:30 PM for her room, which inconvenienced me by having everyone shower and get dressed in my room. although the compound is beautiful, the pool, the eateries, lobbies, restaurants, and stores. The actual room that I got reassigned was horrible and now it actually explained why the manager scrubbed her shoulders like oh well just put her in it attitude. I paid for ocean front view which was what i had been assigned but since my room wasn’t ready which was not my fault I got stuck looking at the trees and the small road that lead to a utility room for the actual employees.

We had a tiresome stay. My review of the hotel is that it’s a bad place to show up tired and hungry. We waited in lines for at about 4 hours a day. That includes waiting for the ferry and then waiting for dinner. The first day we waited 3.5 hours for a call from the restaurant near the front desk. Despite my checking in with them 3 times a call never came. But that wait time also includes things like waiting over 45 minutes for somebody to take our order after we get a table. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life! The hotel is so overpriced for the rooms and all the food. We’re staying in room 3140 and there’s visible dirt on the walls in the hallway. We’re talking about baseboards caked with dust and the walls dirty as well. I’ve worked in hotels before and this place is sad. We regret coming here and we will never make that mistake again! We also had to make 4 or trips to the front desk to get the ocean view room we paid for. That took about 2 hours over 24 hours. The room was quite out dated. The front desk initially said it was our fault for using Expedia, or expedias fault.

This is a nice hotel. You can’t just walk out to the beach, that’s something people should know. Oceanfront means u can see it from a distance. U have to ride a trolley thing to go down the mountain and then take a boat to go to the beach. That was not clear when we booked. The place is clean.everyone has to slam the doors to get them to lock( this is def something they need to look into, thats loud and annoying). The boat ride is fun, their private beach is nice. Food inside the resort is pricey. The place is beautiful,and really nice landscaping and views. People are friendly. Would return.

We are frequent guests at El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, which made this Valentine’s weekend stay especially disappointing. We arrived on February 12th and experienced a delayed check-in due to another guest complaining that her room smelled of mold. We assumed it was an isolated issue—until we opened our door and were hit with the same strong musty odor. We requested a room change, but a large wedding meant nothing else was available. Another couple nearby reported the same problem. Housekeeping was sent, but the smell remained. The HVAC appeared to be leaking or heavily condensating into the carpet, which stayed damp. The carpet also didn’t seem vacuumed—debris ended up in our bed if we didn’t wipe our feet. In the bathroom, the shower handle came off in my hand. Breakfast at Ventanas was equally frustrating. We were seated promptly but left after nearly 20 minutes without service, and then waited another 10 minutes for a manager. On a positive note, dinners at Ballyhoo and Bono were excellent and helped salvage the trip. It’s unfortunate to see the resort’s condition declining, as it has long been one of our favorite destinations. We hope improvements are made.

Check in was miserable. The workers were unpleasant and uncaring about the fact we had asked for a room not in the marina but we got one anyway. Told us to come back to desk after 20 minutes in vase they could switch us and when we showed up they said no anyway. Waste of time!
