Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Not great. No internet, bathroom garbage was full on check in, nightstand was dirty, no elevator, no luggage cart, ice machine is down a dark hallway in a maintanence area, room refrigerator not cold, a gas fireplace pilot light with a flame 3 inches tall that was noisy and made the room hot and could not be turned off.
But the worst part is that there was an adjoining room, and the guests talked loudly late in the night and a small child was loud as well. I called the front desk at 10:45 pm who told me to give them 15 min to quiet down. This was a bizarre request, but I did it. 15 min later, I called again, and she agreed to call the guests. After that, the adults were quiet. However, the child was still making noise. At midnight, I called the desk again, but no one answered. I guess they had the luxury of getting some sleep. I tried turning on the air conditioner, and thankfully it was loud enough to drown out the child.
I paid to sleep there, and they were not especially concerned about the fact that I couldn't. They could have offered a different room or went to the room to make ure it was quiet, but they didn't.
I will stay in Hollister in the future.
