The hotel and staff were wonderful, food was great. The only problem was that the water temperature fluctuated so much that it was almost impossible to take a shower. The water was way too hot. Maybe temperature limiting shower fixtures would help.

The hotel is located on a very busy and noisy road. We were in room 101, located on the first level and facing the road. San Jose is known for its crazy traffic and we could hear trucks, motorcycles roaring past all night. Unfortunately we did not gef any sleep that night. Because of its close proximity to the road it should be designated as an office or storage space, not a hotel room. The noise ruined our stay which is unfortunate because the rest of the hotel was fairly nice. As soon as we arrived an employee helped us park. The front desk employee was very nice and professional. We had dinner at their restaurant, chinese food, my wife is vegan and we were pleased that they had vegetarian and vegan options. The included breakfast was also very good. It was buffet style, but an employee served you the main courses. I find people's behavior at buffets a little disgusting at times, so it was alittlee more sanitary to be served by an emplyee. Others complained that the food was cold, but we thought it was good. Again, there were options for a vegan and beans, plantain, fruit etc..

Dora was AWESOME! Jenny as well. I paid for a week in advance with request for quiet room to heal after surgery. They put me next to construction with saws and hammering during the day. If you need quiet go elsewhere!

Exceptional hotel.

Our stay was exceptional.We flew into San Juan airport late at night and needed a place to stay. We were gonna go with a typical US chain, but so glad we were able to stay in a beautiful local hotel. We had a late check-in, but there was a front desk person there all the time along with a security guard outside. We missed dinner at the restaurant which was supposed to be amazing, but we were directed to a little local place down the street where the food was great. The beds were super comfy, the place was extremely well-maintained, the local breakfast was fantastic and the staff was spectacular. We also understand that this place is run on solar, and it is obvious that they think about sustainability. There are no single used plastics anywhere.We slept a little late, but the front desk guy messaged us to make sure we didn’t miss breakfast. We would 110% stay here again, and will probably do so on our way back to the airport. Definitely stay here.
