What was great: Location perfect for Rome walking adventures. Sleeps 7-8 people (we had 4) and privacy for everyone with 3 baths, kitchen, DR, LR, washing machine/drying rack. Apartment itself could be amazing, but all the little things (and some big ones) needing fixes add up to a disappointing stay. We are pretty flexible people, and fine with basic, but we like things to work. The little things -- burned out light bulbs in every room, door handles missing or fell off in our hands, kitchen rack fell down bec of missing set screw, no dishwashing powder or pods, no kitchen towels or scrubby, drapes were hanging off track and too high for us to re-hang, no rugs to absorb sound and dust bunnies, vacuum cleaner terrible, bed slats missing, cot was broken, sink stoppers missing, no extra sheets/towels during a 10 day stay, soap-scummy tub wall, sparse furniture. When all these added up, it diminished the enjoyment of staying there. Big things -- no hot water in one shower, and the second bath only had a handheld with no place to hang it. So we all took showers in hall bath with a very low pressure rain shower head. This bath also had a running hot water sink faucet -- kept room warm so mold grew the whole time. Back bedroom smelled mildewy (mattress has a big mildew stain). Radiator heat made a huge mold stink in hall so we turned it off. No help from calls/emails -- I knew none was coming given holiday and lack of interest when someone answered. But it could be great with care!
