Nice stay, but.....

Nice location, quiet, and clean. The booked price should have included all charges, but they collected an additional city tax at the property. Other hotels in the area didn't have this surcharge.

Great Location!

Couldn't ask for a better location, practically on the Spanish Steps. Very safe location, and felt safe in the area late on an evening. Lovely modern and well equipped room - with a nice balcony to enjoy an espresso every morning. Check in was smooth and the staff extremely helpful - sorted very reliable transfers from and to the airport.

Pros: The property location is great and safe. Pia is very sweet and helpful when needed. Quiet at night as you can’t hear much from the street. Balcony is a great way to sit and have coffee while people watching. Cons: pls note this is an apartment flipped into a guesthouse, and I had no idea! I thought it was a hotel as it is not mentioned anywhere. You can hear everyone inside talking or coming in and out of the rooms. They don’t clean much and you have to ask for everything. Carpet in the room is old.

The balcony has very nice views, but one of the door panels was not able to lock. Due to that, we were a bit worry about burglars might sneak in through the balcony even it’s on the fourth floor. The safe size in the closet is big, so we can store valuables safely. The staffs are nice and friendly even though they are at the front desk only a short period of time, but they missed to give us bottle water on one of the four days we stayed. Luckily we found some in the cabinet near the front desk.

A little difficult to find due to not knowing the lay of the land nor our maps working. Reception is not always on site, but you can text them at any time. Great location seconds away from spanish steps, shopping, and food. Easy to get in and out, plus they have an elevator. Very large bathroom and perfect balcony.

My husband and I just recently visited Rome in September for our son's wedding and being from the United States we had no idea what to expect, where to stay, or where to go during this trip. We researched the location and read the reviews for the Helmirage and I have to say we were so very happy that we chose to stay there. The whole staff was amazing and the location was perfect!! We were seconds away from the Spanish Steps and within walking distance to several wonderful restaurants, clothing stores, and quaint inexpensive souvenir shops. The manager Pia was so wonderful at referring us to the must see sights to visit and also gave us some very helpful hints on the guided tours. We can't thank her and the staff for their superior service during our week stay with them. Our suite was perfect in size and we had everything we needed to be comfortable for being 5,200 miles away from home. It was wonderful to come back to our suite everyday to a fresh clean room and bed, and they always made sure that we had plenty of refreshments and coffee so we were ready to start the next day!! Everyone was always friendly and attentive to any questions or requests that we had. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Rome again we would stay at no other place than the Helmirage!! Thank you Pia and Staff for being such an amazing a part of one of my husband's and my most memorable moments.

We loved our stay here! Would absolutely stay again when we come back one day. We wanted to be by one of the main monuments in Rome - this was right by the Spanish Steps. There were also so many stores, dining options & bars around. Was super easy to navigate all over Rome! The room was amazing & comfortable. Thank you for making our honeymoon amazing!
