The Roman experience

This is the place if you want to experience the true Rome in an apartment in what must be one of the busiest places in central Rome. Its very exciting. Easy walking to all the main attractions. There is no reception so check in is all electronic which is fairly easy to navigate even for non tech savvy like us. There are dozens of restaurants nearly and sits above the third most highly rated gelato shop in Rome.

Great spot to tour the ancient Roman sights.

Burg Et BIE is a large apartment (divided into separate suites) on the second floor. There is a small elevator. A few stairs are required to access the elevator. The location is very quiet at night after the (very popular) Gelato shop below closes. We appreciated the very comfortable bed! Our host met us at the door and gave lots of information and help. Make sure to load what’s app to contact the host. The location was perfect. Very close to the Parthenon, Parliment and Trevi Fountain.

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff was very accommodating. Provided great customer service and communication throughout the stay. The location was prime and walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and other attractions nearby. We were walking distance to major shopping areas as well. The hotel provided transportation to and from the airport for a fee. Place was easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again

Great place to base yourself

Fabulous central location to explore the main centre of Rome (though Giolotti next door stays open til very late so it can be a little noisy). Simone was fantastic at getting in touch beforehand to sort out all the arrangements, and it was great having a key code instead of physical key to worry about losing. Check in was super easy, and we could do it the night before our arrival. Bed was comfy, room and bathroom were really clean, as was the communal area where you can make tea and coffee.

Great location

The guesthouse is more like an air bb. We had no physical contact with the owners. It was all done via WhatsApp. The day before arrival they contacted me with the details for a self check in. If you book with them make sure you send them a separate WhatsApp as the messaging service within the app (in my case Hotes.com) didn’t work very well. But via WhatsApp it was flawless. They organised breakfast for us as well as airport transfers. The rooms were quite spacious and clean. The road is really loud but the window a double glazed so no noise once you close them. The location was great. We walked everywhere. And it’s right next door to a great gelato. If I ever go back I’ll definite stay again

No sleep

The guesthouse was clean, centrally located, in good condition, and the staff was very responsive. The only downside of this is that the room is located directly above a well known gelato restaurant and the street is blocked off so people are out there and very LOUD! And very late. Even with the windows closed and the air on you could hear individual conversations. We got little to no sleep the entire three nights we were there.

The host was very responsive and place was ok. Need to flick light switch in stairwell to see , especially in evening. Building is old and staircase a little dingy , but room was better. No Frills here , but location is good. Location is excellent. Go to Gelato place downstairs for coffee and corneto in morning ( So Good) Gelato was excellent!!
