The person who checked me in was not very welcoming. I asked if early check in was available and she promptly said it is usually an extra $150 but she'd try to waive it for 1 time. I'm not sure if it was waived although I said that I understood and could wait a couple hours, but that I was just checking to see if it was possible. She handed me the keys, no directions on parking, locating the room, WiFi, etc. I felt like I was being frowned upon for booking through a third party app.

Management needs to attend to details

This hotel has a lot going for it: great, waterfront location, helpful staff, good on-site restaurants. Sadly, maintenance seems to be slipping thru the cracks. We stayed 3 nights and 3 times maintenance had to come get our AC working again - definitely a must have in hot, humid Wilmington. Sadly, that wadb't our only maintenance issue. The vaniyy light was not working in the bathroom so had to be replaced. The safe didn't work - it looked like someone took it apart and didn't put it back together again. Maintenance replaced it with a new safe. Finally, the perphole in the door didn't work because the whole lens was missing from the front of the door. That still wasn't fuxed when we checked out. The hotel did promptly send capable maintenance staff to address the issues once we reported them. They also comped our parking ($66) and added Hilton Honors points to our account. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Getaway Spring Weekend

Our updated 6th floor riverview room was relaxing. I wish there had been a small refrigerator to handle leftovers, fruit, and medicine. Our 3day parking pass was a blessing, since parking downtown is difficult. This hotel is central to the Riverwalk experience. The pool area was clean and relaxing with live music. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel...just be prepared to add many dollars to your credit card.

This hotel is right on the Riverwalk with excellent views of the Cape Fear River however there is no substitute for a clean room and my recent experience was hair on the bathroom floor and rusted shower fixtures!

We loved Wilmington and this hotel is very nice and convenient to the river walk, restaurants and shopping. Lovely views! The only small negative was that they were painting the building while we were there so we had men outside our window for a couple of days, but the hotel gave us a huge discount for that inconvenience. They were willing to move our room as well but we didn’t want to move. Definitely stay here!

The Great: The staff! Very friendly, helpful and "customercentric." Really terrific. Everyone we encountered, from desk to housekeeping to restaurant, was dedicated to excellent hospitality. The view on the river side is lovely - choose that. Quiet: the hotel was full yet rooms and hallways were perfectly quiet. The Good: The location. Right on the riverwalk and in walking distance to shopping and tons of good dining. The common areas have comfortable and flexible seating and relaxing options. Pool area is tidy and comfortable and the public restrooms were clean. The Bad: The hotel is really overall not clean enough. Our room when we checked in had lint (maybe from a mop) all over the floor. The fitted bed "skirt' was stained. The rug under and around the bed had not been cleaned. In fact carpeting and rugs throughout the property are well overdue for a good cleaning. The cushions on the outdoor furniture also stained and overdue for a cleaning.. Also some maintenance needs attention - an example: the boards leading from the property gate to the river walk were very uneven and squishy. A fall risk for anyone, especially someone older who may be less sure footed. I give it 3.25 stars overall. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep it could be a 4.25.

The easiness of checking in and digital key was awesome! The staff at check-in were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very quiet although the walls are very thin and could hear my neighbor snoring 😂. The only cons I have is they really need to clean the carpets on the hallway and under the beds, no refrigerator in the regular rooms for the price you pay is disappointing (only available in suites), change and wash the comforter (there was a stain on mine) I just slept on the other bed (still wondered if that one had even been washed). My stay was needed for a relaxing reset.
