Beautiful area with nice, easy access to surrounding lakes. Short drive to Town For Groceries. Feeling of privacy, and great views from the road and trails nearby. Saw Deer from the back porch both mornings, and a large bull moose while driving in Crystal Lakes. Great property for the price.

Stayed 4
Check in was easy but they seemed to be overly concerned about us putting their parking passes in our vehicles and to make sure we had a PDF of a guest approval letter for the HOA. We we're never asked for or approached by anyone at any time...but we were ready. The weeds and grass around the house we're out of control and you couldn't get to the grill or picnic table if you wanted to use them but they both looked in rough shape. The house met the needs of the 4 of us and having 2 bathrooms was nice. but we didn't spend much time there as we were gone all day and really came back to sleep only. There's not much for restaurants nearby, that are open during the week, so plan for that as you are coming back. We would of preferred a view of something other than Aspen trees 10 ft from every window. We did see a couple moose a mile or so from the house so that was cool and there's mule deer that come down the road daily in the am.

Black Bear Hollow is so relaxing and the perfect stay! Our family of 4 had plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy. The front and back views of the aspen forest were so peaceful. The kitchen was well appointed as described. Comfortable, well furnished and great hosts! We would love to return again.

Black Bear Vacation
Property was great for the six of us (3 kids, 3 adults). Kids built a little snowman and went sledding on back of property. Proximity to Beaver Meadows for tubing and ice skating was a big plus. The house was great. Excellent layout and very comfortable for making dinner, doing puzzles and playing cards. We plan on a repeat visit.

A Charming Throwback
My husband and I affectionately renamed Black Bear Hollow, the 70’s Throwback. Although the property is a bit dated, it was charming. We particularly liked that the bedrooms were on
opposite sides of the house, and we enjoyed time in the den and in front of the fireplace. The property is in a secluded and quiet area. Our only issue was with the kitchen. I had to clean a previous food spill out of the refrigerator, as well as dirt in the top of the oven, dishwasher, and the drawer at the sink. It would be very helpful if a complete, matching set of flatware was provided in the kitchen, especially since we weee there for Thanksgiving. These issues are easy fixes, and since the hosts are very responsive, I’m sure this will change. I would still recommend Black Bear Hollow and consider returning to this property.
Red Feather Lakes is such a beautiful area and our family really enjoyed staying in this home. We were here for the peak of the Perseid meteor shower and it was an amazing place to lay outside and stargaze. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Would definately recommend.

The listing wasnt quite accurate. There is no hottub. Also i feel that it should be stated that there cant be a fire. The hosts were able to communicate easily so that was helpful. There was also only 2 trash bags. So it was hard to take the trash out. We also found trash from previous stays... land is pretty and area is peaceful. Overall it was a good stay.

Quiet community
We had a great time with hiking in the woods and exploring the neighborhood on foot. The community is very quiet during the week, be sure to stock up on groceries prior to your arrival as there are very limited options in the community.
