I hadn't stayed here since before the new ownership and the addition of the casino. While I didn't partake in any gambling the hotel has seen some limited touch ups that were probably due. I hope they continue that path. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful in resolving a small issue I had that wasn't related to the property at all, making their efforts all the more laudable.

Unfortunately it was a very cold day & night (`-40 windshield) & no one of the outdoor plug ins were working to plug in our vehicle. Had a difficult time understanding the reception desk ... talked with 3 different persons regarding directions to our room & after 15 minutes of looking for it ... a hotel rep finally was able to help us. Did not realize until the morning but there was a problem with the toilet in that water was running continuously throughout the night.

Over all its a nice place its a little dated in the rooms and hotel lighing when you arrived i didnt like you needed the key for elevator access i went in the pool area to swim and went to use the steam room downstairs and got locked out as i could go out the door as i neede my key and i couldn't use the elevator as i needed a key and couldn't us the stairs because i didn't have my key so i was locked downstairs in the fitness area to use the steam room untill one of my family members came looking for me as i was gone to long if i wasn't with no one i would of had to wait till someone came to use that area i was pretty upset and cold as i was in my swimming stuff. Beds were nice and rooms were warm the bed skirting was dirty it was very noticeable and gross.the bathroom were very old and gross as its all very old and rusting and really discoloring.

My only downside was when checking in at 4:00pm they said our rooms weren’t ready yet. We said we’d go wait in the lounge. Friends of ours who were also staying there showed up less than 5 minutes after us and they were checked in right away. I went back and questioned why people were getting rooms ahead of us and they said one of our rooms was ready but not the second room. They offered to check us in to two adjoining rooms. I said that’d be fine and everything flowed smoothly after that. I’d definitely stay here again.

Not an easy process

When we first got there they didn't even have our reservation and it was fully booked. We ended up being put in the old side of the hotel which is very run down. The shower had someone's hair all over the walls and the bed was very uncomfortable. My daughter had rented the room for us for Valentine's Day so we could have a staycation but I so much would have rather stayed home than wasted money on this room. Then they took our credit card and we were billed twice for the room once from hotel.com and then the hotel charged us as well. They showed us that they have refunded our credit card but we have not seen that back yet and the deposit is still not returned to our credit card. This has been a difficult process and will probably not book this way in the future because of it.

Every staff member I interacted with was kind and helpful. The front desk team on Friday Feb the 14th were the best I’ve seen in my many visits. Even with consistent lines of people checking in they were welcoming and acknowledged the wait time.
