Fantastic yard, a cool old house, a beautiful fire pit on the lake, and a great location. We had a wonderful stay there. No dining room table, so that was different, but we enjoyed eating in the living room, taking in the view and each other's company. I would stay again anytime!

This place was lovely! A perfect, peaceful short getaway. It’s a great find for the price and could sleep many more. It would be wonderful for a larger family gathering. It’s close to everything; downtown with plenty of restaurants and historic sites, near lots of trails and spots to enjoy nature. There were a few things that could be cleaner, including the fire pit. Everything else was nearly perfect. Overall, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

We loved the backyard and lake! We saw a fox, rabbit, and lots of geese. It was peaceful and quiet there! The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the shampoo, conditioner and soap provided. Overall, a comfortable and nice place to stay very close to Raleigh activities!

We loved our stay!!! We had three generations there and everyone was very happy! The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Great Property for Get Away!

For our conference, we opted to not stay at the host hotel and that was the best decision!! This property had everything we needed and the backyard and deck was able to accommodate visiting guests!! Grilling outside with lake view was awesome!! Very convenient to convention center.

Lakeside oasis with convenient access to town

We were thrilled with the location with access to the local area as well as the highway, while being in a serene and comfortable home. The home itself was also appropriately furnished for lake living, and we were pleasantly surprised by the carport! The owner was lovely, extremely responsive.

This place was absolutely amazing — truly beyond five stars! The home was incredibly clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and Abby was wonderful to work with from start to finish. We hosted our daughter’s military wedding gathering here, and it could not have been more perfect. This home will always hold a special place in our family’s memories, and we are so grateful for Abby’s kind and thoughtful hospitality. The bride and groom have already said they want to return every year for their anniversary — and we definitely will be back as well.
