Super cozy and comfortable bed. Room was quite chilly upon entering and fragrant. Not sure why we got chased down about the luggage cart. Anyway, really nice if you want a little boogie - get in early if you want hotel parking. It's walkable to old town which is really nice.

Somewhere in the heart of this hotel is some machinery that vibrates, deeply and strongly. Our room shuddered. We got headaches. By 10pm we had to change rooms. The bed was smaller and the bathroom was smaller, but at least it was quieter. Not a good experience.

The rooms are spacious! The staff are absolutely wonderful! They share their recommendations, are very knowledgeable about their facilities AND town, and they are so helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Louise, has great food and service, and accommodated all 12 of us for two meals. I would stay at Hotel Port Royal again!

Pros: Wonderful staff. Convenient location, walkable to major sites, supermarket and train station. Kitchenette, although tiny, enabled us to prepare breakfasts and dinners. Cons: A few steps in hallway were difficult for seniors to manage with luggage. Elevator was temporarily out of order one morning, requiring us to walk down stairs from the 3rd floor.

This property was extremely expensive considering it was under construction. Many areas were dirty and cluttered with construction debris. On day of departure there was no water and staff did nothing to help, just said it was because of the city. Finally, a fraudulent charge was made to my credit card from the hotel. Overall, very disappointing experience. Will not return and would not recommend.

The hotel is outdated, no parking, the pipes are vibrating and loud at night, a/c was down and had to change rooms, inside is all scratched up, fire alarm went off at 2 am and no explanation we all stood outside on the middle of night for almost an hour. I was to receive a bottle of sparking wine as a vip member and got nothing, stuff we’re condescending and rude

The staff was excellent, the room was excellent, great bed and linens. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the walking distance to highlights was clearly underestimated. One would have to be a “marathoner” to make it up to the Frontenac in 7 minutes! Even taking the Funicular took 15+ minutes. Quebec has very steep hills and cobble stone streets, very pretty but tough walking. That being said we still had a wonderful time

Restaurant Morning Staff could improve on their customer service. Ate there for 3 mornings and the staff just seemed to be lackadaisical. Forgetting to bring orange juice to multiple tables not just ours, brought wrong type of bread for toast ( white instead of ordered wheat ). Front desk staff was great and Housekeeping also great. When we ate outside the hotel property for lunch and dinner the service was superberb.
