As an individual that has come to this hotel 3 consecutive years for the German Christmas market, I’m upset to say that this past experience was nothing but poor! First off, I thought we were staying without parking as the underground parking was pretty much full. Although we paid for in and out access, I was worried that if we left, we wouldn’t have parking to go back to. The WiFi provided was slow at times, often buffering while watching short clips on Instagram. We rented a suite where plugs to plug in phones or laptops was hard to come by. Nothing near the beds and only near the sink or desk. The room was dark, dated and had a cold fan running in the bedroom which was freezing! We requested more towels by calling down to the front desk and waited over an hour, where we eventually just left and dried off using our clothing. The towels did eventually show up but that happened sometime after we left for dinner. It’s just disappointing when the front desk said they would be right up which was far from the truth. The restaurant closed early where we ended up taking our business else where. I didn’t regret this as the food we found down the street was AMAZING! We did however try the buffet breakfast in the morning but there is nothing to brag about as it wasn’t anything special. One step up from continental. The server was also demanding of a tip which I found rude considering she wouldn’t even switch the payment terminal to English to properly pay the bill. Upon exiting, despi

Air conditioning was very cold on entry and wouldn't go up using the controls. Maintenance fixed it after some time. The hot water was ok initially and then only luke warm after. The young Maintenance guy said that was as good as it would get! Not warm enough for a bath. Inexplicably came good the next day. Front desk staff pleasant and helpful.

I have to be honest here, I was quite disappointed with this hotel, as the website and photos are somewhat misleading. Mainly, the hotel is terribly out of date, and the main internal area with the pool and balconies is much smaller than the website shows. It also shows what looks like a stone walkway in the pool area, but in reality, was a hollow, fake stone walkway that felt cheap and weak. The room looks and felt like it was built in the 80's, with the tub and bathroom reminding me of a Motel 6. And the caulking around the tub looked like my 5-year old nephew did it. Also, the heat worked sporadically, and the iron was broken. And on the first night, I went to the bar to get two cocktails for my wife and I, and the bartender asked if I was taking them back to my room. When I said yes, she then told me that I would be getting "plastic cups" as too many people "steal" the glasses. Are you serious? Awful way to start the trip. Also, walls are paper thin as we heard every conversation happening in the hallway outside our room. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the location is terrific. But overall, with the money we spent, disappointed is the only feeling I had all three days.
