Parking is a dirt lot away from the actual building. Doesn't seem safe. Not super well lit. Sufficient to see where to go, but need additional lighting for safety purpose. Otherwise, staff is very courteous and friendly. Room is very clean and quiet. Hot chocolate, espresso, and coffee machine in lobby available 24/7 which is wonderful.

For the price I paid, the hotel met it's requirements. The 2 most important ones being that it was safe and clean. What was disappointing is that the WiFi was very poor, my friends and I were lucky to get 2 bands on the "good side" of our room and it kept signing us out. The included breakfast is your typical continental hotel breakfast with only the staples. Lastly, I don’t know if it's me who misunderstood, but I was disappointed to learn that the parking was disconnected from the hotel, and was on the street behind it. There was a section of parking direclty behind the hotel, but it was unclear who it was available to. Overall, I'd recommend this place to people who are looking for hotel that’s not overly expensive, and would consider returning in the future.

DO NOT BOOK AFTER JUST LOOKING AT THE PICTURES. I booked a room for two nights by just looking at the pictures on the app. But when I went there to check in, it was a whole different story. The room that I was given, doesn’t even look close to the one in pictures. The walls had a grey paint, the two beds had a pillar in between them, it was very depressing when I entered the room. When I complained, they gave me a different room but that room had very humid type smell in there. I just can’t even describe it. Even the area in which the hotel is, it’s very shady. Homeless people riding around on their bicycles. I’d say it’s not safe to park the car in the parking as it’s an open parking and anyone can break in into your car. This is a SCAM running by the hotel. The pictures do not match with the hotel rooms. I had a two night booking that I did cancelled on the first night. They refund me full money for the second night but for the first night they didn’t refund a penny. Me and my friends went to a different hotel the same night (a way better 4 star hotel in the same price) after we cancelled the booking.

Staff was excellent, helpful, pleasant and attentive. Unfortunately, our room had a broken dehumidifier and we were not informed of this until after reporting a wet carpet. Staff addressed the issue as best they could but it would have been helpful to have known ahead of time. We also had to empty the water-filled bucket ourselves.

Hotel du Nord Merci

Bianca and Sarah were super helpful in finding/recommending local places to go which is how wet like to travel. Front desk staff were friendly and gave great information about the area. Breakfast was very good with healthy options. Despite construction all around the neighborhood, the hotel was quiet & a great location for using public transportation to get to all parts of the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Du Nord! Our suite was spacious, very clean, and came with its own kitchen, which was super convenient. The hotel had plenty of parking, which made things easy for us. It’s located in a quiet area but still close enough to explore the city. Great value for the price – we’d definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Du Nord in Quebec City! It’s a charming hotel with great amenities — we enjoyed the swimming pool, cozy lounging area, and small gym. Our room was modern, stylish, and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the 24/7 coffee and tea station was a nice little bonus that we definitely took advantage of! The staff were all friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more pleasant. The location is quite convenient — less than a 10-minute drive to the main train station, and easily walkable if you’re not hauling around massive, heavy luggage (which unfortunately, we were — and since there’s no elevator, we got an unexpected mini workout 😄). Despite that little hiccup, I highly recommend Hotel Du Nord. A charming stay with great service and amenities!

Disappointing

We got there and the washroom faucet was leaking water; they fixed it later the same day. The bathtub walls were dirty/stained. Odd washroom with kitchen sink. Room had weird/moldy smell, we needed to keep the window open to air it. Given the issue with the bathroom tap, we asked to be changed to a different room, but the staff was reluctant. Room had no proper window, very disappointing considering the online pictures of the room.

Lots of construction around the property, much further away from old Quebec than they lead you to believe. We waited for the complimentary breakfast hoping to get on the road by 6:15 ( it was supposed to be available at 6. am ) when it wasn’t ready at 6:30 we left and bought breakfast on the road!

"I would rate my stay 3 out of 5. The location was convenient and the staff were polite, but the room fell short of expectations. It was much smaller than the photos suggested, and there was a strong musty smell upon entering, which required airing out the space for about 30 minutes. The bathroom design was also not ideal—the shower curtain was so close that it clung to my body during showering, and if placed outside the tub, it caused water to spill all over the floor. Overall, the stay was manageable, but the actual condition did not reflect what was advertised."
