Dear valued guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your review about your stay at Hotel Champlain on Travelocity. We are glad that you had such a nice time with us. As you mentioned, we have a small parking lot on site. The size of the parking is linked to our location within the walls of Old Quebec City. We consider ourselves lucky to have this option for our guest, even if we can not accommodate all our guests and all size of vehicles. We hope to have soon the pleasure to welcome you back at Hotel Champlain. Best regards

The hotel location is ideal for tourists. After morning tour, we could come back to hotel for recharging. The bathtub drain had hairs stuck there, which affect water draining. Cleaning team should check the tub function other than just cleaning.

Comfortable and convenient location

Very friendly staff. Cute hotel right down the block from the tourism office. Close to everything! Clean and safe. Quiet room with a nice view on the backside of the hotel. Very reasonable price.

Great location, charming

Pros: Location, cozy and unique rooms, fast free wifi
Location: Everything in Old Quebec is minutes away with a short walk, great restaurants and shopping right nearby with an easy walk
The location is perfect for exploring everything in Old Quebec. Petit Champlain, Frontenac, Rue Saint-Jean, Place D'Youville, Plains of Abraham, etc. are short minute walks away. This made for a perfect hub for everything I wanted to do during my trip. All of the staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful at all times. My room, a Standard, was charming and lovely, I would think the higher-level rooms are even nicer. I was barely there because I was always out and about exploring, but lovely to come back and relax, I often just used the cozy lobby couches and fireplace. Plus fast free wifi. C'est bon!

Great location - great deal!

Pros: It's location -- close to all the historic sites and on a quieter street (one-way, no retail stores, mostly small hotels)
Cons: Didn't have a car -- but suspect access and parking could be challenging. Would recommend getting more information before making reservations.
Location: Within walking distance of all the historic sites in both Upper and Lower Quebec City as well as Parliament Hill, including the Citadelle.
Our five-night stay was without complaint. The location was excellent as we spent a lot of time walking (no car) and seeing the historic sites of Quebec. It was also very convenient to several shoppping and dining areas, as well as the visitors' bureau and the start points for boat, bus and walking tours. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations for dinners (there was no restaurant on site, but the breakfast buffet in the lounge area provided numerous options and ample servings to suit anyone's tastes). The room was clean and more than sufficient for a couple who needed only a place to dump their bags, sleep and shower (i.e, didn't spend a lot of time in the room). Noise level in the room was very minimal -- the only "distrubance" was the joyful laughter of the boys playing soccer & street hockey in the schoolyard behind the seminary before the start of their school day.

Great location very comfortable

Located in central part of old Quebec. Taxi ride from airport and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city on foot and via tour buses. No need for a car. Bed was very comfortable, staff friendly and most accommodating. Optional breakfast wasn't fancy but surely got the day off to a good start. Would definitely consider returning.

Absolutely Charming!

Pros: Clean, comfortable, charming, pleasant and helpful staff, breakfast, nice location
Location: shops, restaurants, horse and carriage rides, Chateau Frontenac, lots of history
We loved this hotel!! We stayed on the first floor and it had been newly remodeled and was huge and beautiful! I had read in the reviews to make sure that we reserved a parking space in advance, so we did. I would highly recommend using their valet service as the parking spots are teeny tiny. My husband insisted on parking our car himself which resulted in a large scratch from the concrete wall and about 15 minutes of waiting as he got the car out of the last spot in the back. The continental breakfast was lovely and filling and the coffee was delicious! We were just a short walk to restaurants and touristy stuff, including the horse and carriage rides which we loved. I cannot say enough nice things about this wonderful hotel. We will definitely be back!
