The views around the resort are absolutely beautiful, and many of the staff are quite lovely. Sadly I did get food poisoning one night at the buffet early in our trip, but it was great afterwards! Do note that if you’re a big steak lover, you’ll only enjoy the steaks here if you like very well-done. My husband however had a less pleasant experience on our last day as we were enjoying the cabanas around the pool (are lovely and have privacy curtains). While swimming in the smaller, lower level pool, he sliced the bottom of his foot on the broken and jagged tiles on the bottom of the pool. While the staff were quick to help us and provide him with basic first aid, this did end up resulting in some nerve damage on the pad of his foot. It also really highlighted for us just how bad the tiles in the pools are, which resulted in us taking a harder look at everything. There was a tiny bit of mold in the room bathroom near the shower, which honestly is expected travelling to an incredibly humid country during summer; much of the support walls around the resort are starting to crack and erode, as well as we found a big cockroach on one of the main interior paths (only one was seen which I count as a win). Did we enjoy our stay? Of course! What’s not to love about hot weather, few tourists (we went in August), and beautiful views. Would we stay at this resort again? No we would not. For a few extra bucks we would’ve been happier staying elsewhere, but that’s also just our opinions!
