Sunflower Haven Retreat

This family friendly get away is located in a safe and quite neighborhood in Pleasant Grove, Utah at the base of majestic Mt. Timpanogos. It sleeps ten with three themed bedrooms and 2 full baths.

The unit is on a beautifully landscaped, half acre corner lot with a private entrance off the side street. It is a full walkout basement apartment where all windows face the yard (as apposed to window wells) so it has the comfort and feel of a home.

The unit features 1800 sqft of living space, with 9 foot ceilings, large stocked kitchen, dining and family room, three themed bedrooms, two full baths, kid's space and laundry. The empty nester owners live in the upper stories of the house.

Amenities include pantry staples, gas fireplace, Dish TV, wifi, laundry, fire pit, barbecue, large patio, lawn area and sports-court, (basketball, pickle-ball).

Conveniently located in Utah County, near world class hiking and biking. Less that an hour from Snowbird and Alta ski resorts and 45 -60minutes from Wasatch Skiing. Ten minutes away from I-15 and excellent restaurants, cinemas and shopping. Twenty minutes away from Provo, BYU, UVU and the MTC. 50 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City or SLC international airport.

Such a nice home away from home!
We traveled in to the Salt Lake area for our nephew’s wedding. This home provided a comfortable stay right at the foothills. We were able to have a few extended family meals (with the owner’s permission) on the patio, which was everything! Hosts Darren and Susan were very accommodating. Loved our time there!

It was a good experience except for one thing
I was searching for a wheelchair accessible location. Even though this was a basement there were 2 big steps inside. My nephew had to almost pick the wheelchair up to get my 95 year old mother in & out. So please take this home off the wheelchair accessible list.

Perfect place to stay
Beautiful home with all the amenities for a perfect home away from home. The owners of this property have thought of everything to make the stay here comfortable and enjoyable. It’s an ideal place to stay for families with children. There is a basketball court and a shed full of outdoor games such as corn hole and croquet. There is even a binder inside the house that explains how to play all the various outdoor games provided. There is also a nice outdoor patio area with furniture and propane fire pit. Inside has a closet with board games for indoor entertainment and a small toy room with toys. Our 4 year old loved this area. The home is super close to the mountain so easily take a hike up to see the sunset and enjoy the beautiful views. Fully stocked kitchen has everything for meal prep. The large comfy couch allows for plenty of room to relax with the family and watch tv. Beds are comfy; plenty of extra blankets provided. Laundry room access is conveniently great. This was our second time to stay in this home, and we would definitely stay again.

We used this property as a base for visiting our family from Taylorsville to Payson. The house is in a friendly quiet neighborhood. We stayed in the basement of the house, but it really didn’t feel like the basement, as advertised, there are a lot of windows to let the light in. We could hear the owners walking around and the occasional pitter patter of small grandchildren, but it was negligible. We text the owners a request and literally within 10 minutes they replied and had resolved our request. It was a very enjoyable place to stay, and we would stay there again.
