Late on my second day I returned to find that my door had been left propped open. Luckily nothing was stolen, but I was more careful with my belongings after that. That day the temp reached over 100°F and the AC was left running, and in the following days I noticed more roaches and ants in the room. I only stayed because I could not secure another hotel in the time allowed. To be clear, I don’t know who opened the room, flipped the latch to block the door, and left it open. As a rule I close all doors, not just at hotels, with one hand on the doorknob and another holding the key. From this old, old habit I’m certain that I had closed the door when I left that morning. And I would have noticed if the latch kept the door a few inches open, especially in the heat. I hope this was a one-time issue, but I may never find out. Next time I visit town, I’ll stay elsewhere.

Perfect location for Zion National Park. Wonderful newly updated rooms with spectacular Mountain View’s. Close to restaurants, coffee shops and shuttle to the park. Excellent healthy breakfast choices. Friendly staff!

The facility was ok. There was no TV or anything to do at night. There is only one first come first serve restaurant which was ok. Would recommend staying outside the park at a full service hotel.

The renovation process was still going on but what had been completed was very nice. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially when the renovation is complete.

Not impressed with the rebranding. Disappointed.
Hotel was rebranding to a Marriot property. Construction everywhere. Our room was downgraded from a suite with separate accommodations for our third guest to a room with two queen beds. WiFi was extremely spotty, the breakfast was in a room where you needed to fight for tables (we lost) and like everyone else in day two none of our room cards worked and had to be reset. No notification ahead of time and signage from the road was confusing. We would have booked elsewhere with a common area and a second private room like we had intended. It changed he dynamic of our vacation. Not a good look Marriott.

Very nice property surrounded by shops, dining options & right near a shuttle stop. All the staff was super friendly but especially Shelly & Amelia. Breakfast was good, pool is heated and saltwater, towels are soft.

This property is being taken over by Marriott and appears to be going through some transition issues. It was hard to find the property because they changed the name to “The Lodge”. Our reservation was wrong and we were given a newly updated room. Then we found the TV and the vent fan in the bathroom did not work. There was no maintenance person working so we had to live with for 2 days. This has the potential to be a great propert!

Worth Trying Again after Marriott Takeover
The hotel is transitioning from La Quinta to Marriott and the lobby/breakfast area is under construction. Therefore, wasn't enough tables to eat the very "limited" breakfast offering. With that said, the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Best part about the hotel is the location. Walkable to entrance to Zion Park and therefore no need to wait for the bus and was nicely situated to restaurants in Springdale.

La Quinta or The Lodge or Marriott?
Very clean and quiet. Nice staff. Great location, lots of parking. Good restaurants and a Zion shuttle stop nearby. The only negatives were that they are in transition from La Quinta to The Lodge to Marriott. The signage off the main street says The Lodge. Temporary signs are sometimes posted. It was a bit confusing but we figured it out. There is some construction going on but it wasn't loud. The towels, blankets and linens seemed old amd in short supply. It felt like the transition was the cause of the odd situations.
