Modern and clean.

The home was modern, bright, and clean. And we liked the location. There were a few negatives. The first is the kitchen cabinet doors showed some wear and tear on the finish. The second is the master bed was too firm for me. The third is there was nothing to block out the morning sun - no curtains. So, it was hard to sleep in once the sun was up. Lastly, the water pressure in the bathroom is not great, especially when using hot water in the sinks.

Great house in great location

This house had all the amenities and space for a very comfortable stay for a multi-generational family. The beds were extremely comfortable. The home is very close to the great Mississippi Ave restaurants as well. Please print the house rules to make it easier for old eyes to read.

Portland visit

We visited our son in Portland and celebrated my birthday. The host was great to work with and this property was absolutely amazing! The host thought of everything to make it like home. The property looks even better than the pictures! Very clean and luxurious. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Portland

Wonderful place to stay in Portland. The house was a great size with enough space to spend time together but still be able to have alone time. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Everywhere we wanted to go was very easily accessible. Parking seems to be a bit of a nightmare in Portland so having the garage made life so much easier, especially for those of us who haven’t parallel parked in many years. The house was clean and the hosts were great. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Portland.

Wedding Trip

The home is situated in a great neighborhood. The house is large, bright and airy. Very clean! Any item you think you may need is offered. Even toys, pack n play & high chair. The bedrooms have comfy beds and large closets. Nice laundry room area. Kitchen is spacious and great for cooking for a family. Supplies are plentiful. The garage access is wonderful as well. We stayed for our daughters wedding at Victorian Belle Mansion and it was a perfect distance away. We would definately wish to stay again!

Portland Stay!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the N. Mississippi District. The House was very well furnished with plenty of space. It is across from the Community College, but on a very quiet street. I really appreciated being able to park my car in the garage as well. There is a tenant in the basement as required by law but you would never even know it since there is a completely separate entrance. We even went to the Breakfast spot suggested in the hand-written notes for the House and it was excellent! ***I wanted to specifically point-out the excellent communication with Lill. First we were able to get an earlier check-in than expected. Then after check-out, Lill let us know that we had left some of our IDs behind (which could have been a real problem!). We were able to arrange a same day pickup, which definitely saved our vacation (and probably my marriage!). Thanks so much!

Beautiful, clean home

This is a beautiful property. It was perfect for our group of 4 adults and two kids. Well equipped, comfortable rooms. If I had to pick something to improve, I would ask that the guest manual be typed instead of handwritten on graph paper. :-D. Not a huge deal, but we all had trouble reading much of it. Thanks for sharing your pretty house.

Comfortable, quiet stain in North Portland

We enjoyed our stay at this tri-level home. It was clean and comfortable. We loved how the Missisippi Ave area was close and walkable from our doorstep. We found several great places to dine. Sweedeedees was our favorite breakfast cafe. We highly recommend it and it was a walkable distance from the house. The location was perfect and close enough to downtown to not have to drive more than 10 mins anywhere. We recommend this property for families as there was ample space with 3 bedrooms and a ensuite master bath.

This was in an ideal location and was the perfect home away from home for our family while in Portland for a family wedding. The home is well-maintained and furnished with everything we could have needed. Highly recommended!

Beautiful stay

Beautiful home and accommodations. Location was perfect to sightsee and dining. I’m returning to Portland would book this location without a doubt a must stay. Only part that was not liked. Was the ring doorbell monitoring camera. Other than that a great stay a must stay vrbo.

Family Wedding

Our stay at Zen Modern was amazing! The house is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, clean and well stocked. It was in a great location making it easy to get many places around Portland. The neighborhood was quiet and it was great to have a garage to park in. Lill, the host/property manager, was wonderful and was so quick to respond to questions I had about about the house, coffee shops in the area and even where I could find my teenage daughter a dress for the wedding we were attending because the one we ordered at home didn't come in time. We will definitely stay again on our next trip!

Great property in a very nice location near the Peninsula Park rose garden. The house was well appointed Ana well equipped for all of our needs, even a Pack and Play and a high chair for my granddaughter! Lill was super respectful to all of our needs. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect rental house for our Danish food festival

If there was ever a perfect vacation rental house this has to be it. The kitchen was phenomenal with everything you need and a large island and spacious dining table in the separate dining area. I had invited relatives from Denmark to stay with us so we were 6 people plus I have family members who live in Portland and we had planned a Danish “food festival” involving quite a lot of cooking. This kitchen made it a breeze and we had so much fun. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 1/5 bathrooms. The master suite was a dream. Very large with nice walk-in shower and two sinks. It also had a huge walk-in closet and we could close ourselves off from the rest of the house when we felt like it. The 2 other bedrooms were bright and roomy and had lots of closet space. Their shared bathroom had a bathtub. The only outdoor space was a lovely deck off the kitchen but the house is very close to Peninsula Park with the beautiful rose garden. The garage was great. It only had room for one car but that was enough. There is lots of street parking in that area. There is also a very nice office that my husband used for work when he needed to and the living room was extremely comfortable with 2 big sofas and a large fireplace. We were able to have a perfect Danish food festival in this Zen house. This was the perfect house for us
