It is pet friendly, with laminate floors rather than carpets. Very clean and sharp, secure parking, Starbucks off the lobby.

Stark and unattractive decor, seriously the ugliest hotel I have ever seen. No drawers, no counter space in bathroom, very low water pressure in bathroom sink. Having to use key cards for elevator access is problematic and annoying. Getting locked in the parking garage by yourself late at night because the key card won't work is definitely not cool.

Hey Anonymous, Sorry to hear you weren't a fan of the decor, it definitely is different than the typical cookie-cutter style you see used so often. The low water pressure is due to Broadway Tower being a LEED Gold building, so it's extremely conservative of water use. With the parking garage you always want to hold onto the parking ticket you pull to get in, as that gets you into the elevator rooms. Hopefully it didn't put too much of a damper on your time in Portland, we would love to welcome you back if you're ever in the Rose City again! Cheers,

No SECURE shelves in the bathroom. The glass bathroom shelf in room 820 was too flimsy and not securely attached to the wall. As such, it was tilted to the point where if you set something on it the item could slide off the self and onto (or INTO) the toilette. The other bathroom shelf also also not strong or secure enough for items to stay where I put them. No shower door allowed too much water on the bathroom floor. The bath mats placed in front of the shower would get soaked so when you stepped out of the shower and onto the bath mat, the bottom of your feet get wet and slippery. The purpose of the bathmat is to dry the bottoms of your feet so they are not slippery after stepping out of the shower; not to soak up water that escapes from a doorless/curtainless shower. .

There were some staff that were good and helpful, however overall the staff was incompetent and/or rude. For example, retrieving bags was an ordeal (they couldn't even find the key to the closet!) and any basic request was met with attitude, like they couldn't be bothered. I'm not expecting smiley overly-friendly service here but what I do expect at least is NO attitude. For example, our room was inexplicably NOT cleaned one day and we simply asked for replacement towels for that night, not a huge request - that request was ignored twice via phone. Hours passed. We had to go down to the front desk in person (a third time) to ask for it to happen. Again, is this a professional establishment? Or is it a place where you pay to be mistreated by staff too cool to work there? Grow up. Room and hotel overall were fine, room was as expected, and location downtown is good, it's just too bad it was sabotaged by un-professional behavior. Will not recommend Radisson RED and will be telling everyone to avoid this place unless they clean up their act.
