Property still under renovation. Property advertised a gym and there is no gym. I was sick one night at this hotel and called room service for toilet paper and they said they didn’t have any.

The staff is super nice and helpful, the hotel is clean and safe. The roof top pool, and bar are perfect. The location is perfect, across the street is the beach, 2 blocks down is Bangla Street if you are into the nightlife, tons shopping options within a block, and some of the best thai restaurants very close by.

The location was decent, the staff were nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and serviced well. I stayed in an even numbered room which faced the Phuket Surf House and they play music loudly from 10 in the morning to midnight evey day i was there. For this i wouldn't recommend staying at the Bloc, but if that is something that would not bother you then you may enjoy your stay here. There is also a 1000 thai baht deposit required required at check in so don't misplace you receipt or you may not get it back at checkout. All in all id say under 30 it would likely be good for you and over 30 you may want to stay somewhere else.

Clean safe rooms, close to everything and very walkable. Bartenders on roof pool very nice and pool not crowded so felt like had to yourself. Plenty of activity around if you needed more day/ night life.

The lady at the front counter was rude at check in(was not appreciated after the long travel). And did not want to address our eligible room upgrade until I had to complain? I will say that the location is pretty awesome!! The gym is no more than a tread mill and a rack of dumbbells up to 30lbs. Pool bar guys were about as rude as you get and had absolutely no interest in helping you with anything if you weren’t purchasing extra drinks:( I’ve never addressed such aggressive behaviour from the local vendors and we have had experience with them in many countries. So rude and aggressive that they made my wife very uncomfortable to even step in their shops. The breakfast option was good. So in a nutshell the location was great but the staff needed to be reminded of a lot of what is listed as an amenity for the guests and the shopping sucked as we honestly didn’t get to deal with one single Thai person with all the new citizens that have just arrived:(

The room smelt like mould and a cleaning product mixed together. The bathroom was to the right as soon as door opened. Shower pressure and warmth of water was average. I did love the huge bed and that we were so close to beach and Bangala Road. We were able to check in early on arrival day and that was much appreciated.

3rd stay in Thailand and 1st time at the Bloc, I’ll definitely be returning to the Bloc next year. I loved the staff most of all they were so so lovely and accommodating. The location was very good as it’s a close walk to Bangla rd and other things around. I would recommend the Bloc.

Hotel is very nice, can not fault what there is of it, modern, newly refurbished/built - really good room, air con, bathroom, tv, clean, well designed and decorated. Good rooftop pool area. Downside - no restaurant- breakfast is via a voucher collected at reception each morning and handed in to coffee shop next door. Small basic one course breakfast, if coffee shop busy the wait can be excessive under cold air con and in amongst loud customers- the view being taxi drivers smoking outside waiting for a fare. The coffee was great, a real bonus - but just not quite worth the wait, the food or the environment. Patong is dreadful - a dirty swamp filled with the worst of humanity.
