The noise from the pool area was incredible. We could not even have a conversation in our room the screaming was so loud. It didn’t stop until 10 o’clock, and then children and teenagers were thundering down the hallways for another 20 to 25 minutes. It was so loud that it was actually comical, or would’ve been if I hadn’t been up since two in the morning and hoping to get to bed at around nine.
The hotel was so busy when we arrived that after waiting about half hour and seeing that we might still have more than an hour’s wait to check in, we left to go for dinner and came back several hours later. We only had to wait 10 minutes to check in then.
The rooms were clean and in reasonably good shape and the hotel itself was in good shape and the staff was super friendly.
They were very short staffed at the Denny’s and after waiting 20 minutes to be seated, we left to go somewhere else for breakfast. Only half the restaurant was full, but they didn’t have the staff to seat people or to serve people.
I will never stay at this hotel again. I strongly advise the manager or owner of this hotel to check himself into one of the rooms when the pool is active and see what they think about having it open till 10 o’clock at night. The very least they should be doing is offering ear protection to the unsuspecting victims who show up thinking they might have a chance of a good night sleep.
