The fireplace was beautiful and the lobby was so clean and decor was Beautiful too and the outdoor sitting area was relaxing But it does need a little greenery and plants now that spring is here

Very nice people. Large older hotel. Big conference center. Being renovated and the new rooms are nice. No office chair, so a big clunky chair at the desk is hard to maneuver. The television was a challenge. No major stations. CBS was on one channel, for the morning, but not in the evening, and I could not find NBC or ABC at all. The second night, they upgraded us to a suite. It was lovely!

My room key was given to someone by mistake. She ended up opening the door while I was standing by the TV. Then another person knocked on my door assuming it was his room. I was so nervous by the second person, I put the lock on my door. The noise from the outside was unbearable. On a positive note, at least the lady from the front desk came up to my room to apologize for the confusion.

Sub-par stay

Glitchy cable service made it impossible to watch TV. Hairdryer stopped working twice. Basic room, semi-comfortable bed, clean.

Eh. Not great. Kinda down-at-heels for a larger hotel.

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, Poor breakfast
Checked in very late and the man working the desk, John, couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Clearly the rest of the staff was not there when hotel management lessons were given. The maid service was fine, the in-room coffee maker was broken (and when we told the desk about it, they did nothing except say that they'd send another one up, which they didn't. And by the next morning, they finally did send a working one up. Oh, and the next day, they obviously had switched it out one more time, because on the last day it didn't work), Karen in the restaurant was sensational. And the whole place has no shop in it so if you just want to buy something to eat or drink, you either use the vending machine or walk 1/2 mile to Target next door. Not the greatest place.

Nice hotel to stay

My son and I were at this hotel for the bringing the new year. Room was nice and clean good service all around. However we had our dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and it was the total wast of money and got me sick. I had pork dish, the meat was over cook ,cold and blend. My son had chicken pasta, not much better.Later that evening we drive around and there was mall next to hotel. lol It's nice place to stay just don't eat there.

Avoid this place unless you like cold rooms

Or unless you like room temperatures in the 90s, or unless you don't mind jumping up and down to turn the heat on or off, because the thermostats do not work. Fortunately, the temperature never got lower than about 65 degrees F. The hottest it ever got was 95 degrees F, when I made the mistake of leaving the heat on when I left the room for about four hours. They moved me to another room that night, but the thermostat didn't work in the second room, either. When I complained and asked them to fix the problem, they kindly explained that I just didn't know how to use the thermostat. I complained every day of my stay and the problem remained until the day I checked out. The hotel is undergoing renovation anyway (as of late November 2008), so it's not a great place to stay anyway if you want more than a bed and bath.

Nice clean room and lobby, nice service. Great price for a nice room. We were disappointed the room didn't have a fridge or microwave. The pool area was dark and the floor was heavily puddled. We had to go to the front desk for pool towels. Other guests coming in at 2:00 AM on a Saturday night were a bit loud. I'd stay there again.
