The hotel was fine, but I needed to cancel one night as our plans had changed. The hotel stated that I would have to do that through Travelocity. Travelocity wanted to charge me more money than the one night was going to cost me. I recommend the hotel, but I do not recommend Travelocity. I will not be using them again.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. If you value your sleep do not stay on the ocean side or the top room floor of the property. Every morning at 6 am you will be greeted with the sounds of a leaf blower from the ferry station across the street. It is also along a main road so you will hear any road noise or people in the bars just outside at night. The real kicker was when they hosted a wedding in the restaurant on Saturday night. The band started at 8pm and played for 4 straight hours. Our entire room shook the entire time and the best the staff could do was assure us that it would be over soon. We checked out early because of how little sleep we were getting.

We spent a total of 6 nights at the Kon Tiki before and after a cruise. On first arriving in the middle of the night there was a mix-up with our room category which the reception staff could not fix without the manager's approval. Instead of an ocean front room we were given a room at the back with a view over a container depot. This was not the fault of the hotel but Expedia who provided incorrect information about our booking. Upon speaking to the manager the following day we were moved to a very nice room with a view over the harbour. The manager was extremely helpful and rectified the problem promptly. On our return to the hotel following the cruise we were treated to a free buffet breakfast which we assume was by way of compensation for the mix-up. We ate almost all our meals either in the cafe on the ground floor or at the restaurant on the 7th floor. The cafe was delightful and provided high quality light meals and good coffee. We enjoyed nightly drinks on the terrace outside the restaurant and excellent food from the tapas menu. The restaurant manager was very charming and helpful. All hotel staff were excellent. The hotel is opposite the ferry terminal, and it is a short walk to the shipping terminal from where our cruise departed. The immediate vicinity of the hotel was a little underwhelming but we were able to walk to the market, a pharmacy and a supermarket. Any downside was more than compensated for by the excellent quality of the hotel and its convenience.

Great location if you are coming in a couple days early for a cruise. The docks ans ferry terminal is right across the street. Also, plenty of dining options nearby and the marketplace is just a few blocks away.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location, opposite the Ferry Terminal, came in handy for the Moorea leg of our trip. The room was excellent, modern and clean. Would definitely recommend and we would stay there again.

The stay was ok, as options are limited which is reflected in the lack of interest at front desk. No info given of amenetues within hotel or what’s around. On tge 3rd night, despite paying more I was moved to a much smaller room with no explanation. There is a busy nightclub on top floor which gets noisy late on.

Very nice hotel

Great location for catching the ferry to Moorea. Bed was very comfortable and AC worked really well. Room was spacious and worked well for the first night of our honeymoon.

A bit loud on Friday night due to the fact that the hotel is next to a nightclub and my room was on the street side so i could hear all the people coming out of the nighclub at all hours of the night, but the room was phenomenal, clean, and very modern. Hotel is literally in the center of Pape’ete which was a huge plus for me. I would definitely stay there again.
